Isn’t this a high handed power move on the part of Nancy P. just like what they charged Republicans with doing when Reps. were in charge????

No, it's worse. She already is refusing republicans access to bills in a timely manner, shutting out amendments, and the like.

This new rule would change rules that have been in place for almost 200 years, rules that the democrats had available to them but were unable to use to their advantage.

Nancy is having trouble keeping her side together the way the republicans did the past 6 years, so she has to deny the opportunity for her democrats to vote with republicans on anything.

Maybe part of the reason she has trouble keeping everyone in line is the Dems who beat Repubs last year won in conservative districts. I think the term is the chickens have come to roost? I knew this would be a problem for them :)

So this is about bringing in line all those conservative Democrats who ran against Republicans to fool the voters in the last election.

Now that the Democrats have these conservatives in their fold, they're strong-arming them into compliance?
