Fjordman (see gatesofvienna.com) says Sweden in its present form will not exist within the decade.

When Sweden went Neutral during Europe's greatest moral test, WWII, the resulting cognitive dissonance permanently impacted its mental and moral faculties.

A sad end for the Vikings.

“Fjordman (see gatesofvienna.com) says Sweden in its present form will not exist within the decade.”

- I don’t think the position of the four strongest elements in Swedish society, namely the big corporations, the unions, the largest political parties and the MSM is especially threatened.

Since we elected a Conservative led government in September 2006, the position of the unions have been weakened though (being a member has become more expensive due to different measurements from the government and a lot of people have left their respective union).

A change in the area of politics that a lot of Swedes (and others) think will come about is that of the immigration critical party of The Sweden Democrats reaching the Parliament (they have to receive at least 4% of the vote in the general elections) sooner or later. They will get their next chance in 2010.

- This is like saying the US still suffers from having arrived too late for WWII, with the result of millions of Jews being murdered and an even larger amount of people being forced to live behind the Iron Curtain for decades.

Quite contrary, both Sweden and the US view their actions in connection with WWII as heroic and successful, although the adequacy of both of these stances sure could be questioned.
