Twenty people have been killed and 50 injured in a suspected chlorine bomb in Iraq's Diyala province, police say.

The attack happened in an open-air market in the village of Abu Sayda at about 2000 (1600 GMT) on Tuesday.

A police spokesman in the provincial capital Baquba said doctors at a local hospital believed the nature of victims' burns suggested poison gas.

I believe this villiage is in an entirely Sunni part of Diyala. Meaning al-Qaeda is once again burning out the lungs of Sunni women and children with chemical weapons.

Diyala was one of the last strongholds after they killed Sunni Iraqis in the Anbar province with chlorine bombs, which caused them to lose support. They have learned nothing, and now lost support in Diyala. Let’s see if they would do it in the neighbor around Tikrit.

Al Qaida lost, Al Qaida lost hearts of the Iraqis. They have crossed the red tape and they are fighting a total war against the entire Iraqis which they claimed to liberate.

Notice the mention of a chlorine bomb in the headline and the first sentence, THEN it gets around to saying the burns treated by doctors were ‘suggestive’ of chlorine injuries. Very poor journalism and another example of why you can’t take what the MSM reports at face value.

It probably was a chlorine bomb, but it’s nowhere nearly as certain as the headline and first sentence would lead the reader to believe.

Twenty deaths and 50 injured are tragic and devastating to family and friends. Yet this is hardly a “Weapon of Mass Destruction”. If this is all Al Quaeda can come up with, it is clearly in its dying throes. God bless the armed services of the coalition.

Anbar Repeating In Diyala

************************EXCERPT******************************

One of the last throes of al Qaeda in Anbar Province, right before the Sunni’s switched allegiences en masse, was the use Chlorine attacks. The attacks were a sign of al Qaeda desparation. The use of chemical weapons signalled a willingness to use chemical weapons on Muslims in order to try and regain control over a province in which they were rapidly losing their grip. Chlorine gas is an ugly killer. It is clearly a weapon designed to instill more fear than casualties. It is an indicator of al Qaeda’s situation. And now we see these same desparate, brutal methods in Diyala:

Here is what should be breaking news across American screens - a top Sunni cleric who has been vocally anti-American condemning al Qaeda:

Al-Qaeda has lost its most powerful friend in Iraq: Harith al-Dari, the country’s most influential Sunni cleric and a prominent anti-American figure, has rejected al-Qaeda’s vision of an Islamic state, telling TIME that Iraqis “will not accept such a system.” In a sharp departure from his long-standing view of the terror group, al-Dari now says al-Qaeda has “gone too far.” He also repudiates recent statements on Iraq by Osama bin Laden’s deputy, saying: “Ayman al-Zawahiri doesn’t represent Iraqis.”

They are doing what too many people here sadly advocate, bombing the hell out of Iraqis and using weapons of mass murder on civilians.
