Now this is a guy I could vote for. He should at least be appointed a cabinet position.

I really HATE reading stuff from Thomas Sowell.
He makes too damn much sense. It reminds me each time I read his words that the people best suited to making decisions aren’t the people who are elected.

Unfortunately, he is SO intelligent that he wouldn’t consider running. Ain’t that a kick in the teeth?

Not only are many of the elected people not making the correct decisions but Sowell can point it out simply so everyone understands it.

I have read three of his books, and they were all brilliant, in my opinion:
Basic Economics: A Citizen's Guide to the Economy
Applied Economics
Black Rednecks and White Liberals

He is a remarkable thinker. You know, I really would like to sit next to the likes of Edwards and have them read this. I wonder what twister blather would then come from their minds? Sowell makes a direct intellectual "slam dunk" against the likes of Edwards, Hillary and the rest of the Stalinist left.

Sowell makes perfect sense, as usual. His takedown of the left brings a question to mind.
What things are others duty-bound to impose, through government, on the rest of us?

And he explains things so well... even the left should be able to get it.

The beauty of Mr. Sowell is that he can articulate those thoughts in such a way that you can see the common sense in them. The guy is rare.

It is amazing how he cuts through all the BS with so few words and such brilliant thought.

Obviously, Sowell has lost his mind. I can’t even believe he wrote that. Everyone knows that the order is backwards!

Millions of human beings died of starvation, and of diseases related to severe malnutrition, when the economic ideas of Stalin in the Soviet Union and Mao in China were inflicted on the population living -- and dying -- under their iron rule. The starvation in the Ukraine wasn't the result of incompetence, except in the sense that it's incompetent to starve one's own citizens to death; it was a political fight and the Sovs didn't want the Ukranians to have the power that came with the production of that much food. Their famine was entirely intentional.

The ignorance of people with Ph.D.s is still ignorance, the prejudices of educated elites are still prejudices, and for those with one percent of a society's knowledge to be dictating to those with the other 99 percent is still an absurdity. This guy is so good, it gives me goose bumps.

LOL! A lot of his statements he comes up with I already knew but I had no idea how to really express it and he does it so easily.
