“Unfortunately, we will always remember him as a founder and leader of America’s anti-gay industry, someone who exacerbated the nation’s appalling response to the onslaught of the AIDS epidemic”
When you bring the disease upon yourselves by your actions, do not expect decent society to bail your over used arse out.

I like the quote from the homo group leader. Political gain, what office did he run for? I must have missed that.

This one really gets me. So...let me ask... How do gays get aids? Is it Rev Falwell’s fault? Don’t think so. The Rev only told it the way it is.

"My mother always told me ... I always appreciated his sincerity even though I knew what he was selling and he knew what I was selling." Hustler magazine founder Larry Flynt. My respect for Flynt just went up. Few on the Left are so soft-spoken about those they have political disagreements with.

Jesse actually did alright - the only ass-wipes are Barry Lynn and the gay dude.

Larry Flynt - wow, that was an excellent message

"Jerry Falwell politicized religion and failed to understand the genius of our Constitution, but there is no denying his impact on American political life. He will long be remembered as the face and voice of the religious right." The Rev. Barry W. Lynn, executive director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State. Besides Rev. Lynn demonstrating his poor understanding of the Constitution, he also showed himself to be a low life in dishing a far greater man on his death. RIP Jerry. Christians who are courageous as you are few.

He sure made the right enemies.
Jesus is smiling, I believe.

"Over the years we became friends; sometimes we had polar opposite points of view. ... I have many fond memories of him. He leaves a great legacy of service and a great university behind. He's left his footprints in the sands of time." The Rev. Jesse Jackson. Surprisingly classy.
All of Israel should mourn the passing of this good friend.

Kos and DU must be creaming their collective pants.

Really! The man has been dead less that 24 hours, what an appalling, grandstanding, unsuitable comment.
“Of the dead speak well, or not at all.”

Oh, come on. Everybody knows AIDS is caused by lack of funding.

"Jerry Falwell was a close personal friend for many years. We did not always agree on everything, but I knew him to be a man of God. His accomplishments went beyond most clergy of his generation. Some of my grandchildren have attended and currently attend Liberty University. He leaves a gigantic vacuum in the evangelical world." Evangelist Billy Graham. Other than, I can't think of a time when I have not agreed with Dr. Falwell, I echo Rev. Graham. I, my children and my grandchildren will miss him dearly.

May he rest in peace. He was a good friend of Israel. Certainly much better than the Rev. Al Shaprton or Jesse Jerkson could ever be!

someone who exacerbated the nation's appalling response to the onslaught of the AIDS epidemic Wow...I didn't realize that Rev. Falwell led the S.F. riots against closing the bathhouses to stop the spread of AIDS.
To: Grunthor
yep, repeat the big lie about AIDS..................
Yep you would believe that AIDS is a problem only because of a lack of government programs. Not enough research, and not enough condoms are out there fighting AIDS.
