The Rev. Jerry Falwell arrived at Lynchburg General Hospital today around noon after being found unresponsive in his office. Ron Godwin, the executive vice president of Liberty University, confirmed that Falwell was found unconscious in his office after missing an appointment this morning.
I disagreed with the gentleman on nearly everything, but My prayers and thoughts are with him and his family.
FNC reporting also.
Fox is saying he’s dead (1:35 EDT)
May he rest in peace....... prayers for his family.
Fox News stating an aide has reported he has just passed away
This past Sunday at church he asked for 15 more years.
Umm...I just looked over at the DU (at the suggestion of some posters here) and I must say that this it is unbelievable how hate-filled they are over there. It is appalling. Anyway, I thought the Dems were for tolerance.
..with the news of a pastor's homecoming-(death)-..
....a pastor who ordained and mentored him.
We didn't realize, till we read the letter, that this was our pastor....years ago....who married my husband and I.
Falwell had great respect for him....
..and I have great respect for Jerry Falwell.
The Reagan era ushered in stalwarts of the Faith...
Falwell, D.James Kennedy, James Dobson...
..all long in years, and failing in health.
May God have mercy if there are no heroes of the Faith left....
..we are/were blessed to have these men leading the charge.
You no sound like oriental. You sound like Satan man.
May God rest his soul.
Fox News stating he had lung issues.
He’s in Heaven and DU is reveling in it.
I’d say it is a good day for Jerry. No more pain. No more tribulation. Just standing before the Lord hearing “Well done”.
Prayers for his family and university though.
He’s been a pretty divisive figure even in Lynchburg—he’s not universally loved in the city. I’ve not always agreed with some of the ways he did things at Thomas Road Baptist Church as a televangelist, and he managed to run LU into some serious financial trouble in the 1980s, as they expanded too rapidly. But you can’t doubt the man’s faith in God and his zeal for preaching the Gospel.
He’s home now, and my more-or-less hometown’s lost its most famous son.

He died...breaking on all channels.
My prayers go to the Falwell family and those he touched with his life as an Evangelist.
Rest in Peace, Jerry. He has gone to his Final Reward. God bless him.
ABC just broke in with a special report announcing his death. Prayers to his family in this difficult time.
You couldn’t give me the bad Karma they are buying.
