I get good service at the little post office on Peterson AFB. There's only one clerk, but except for the lunch hour and right after the military duty day ends, there's not much of a line.
What drove me insane about the nearest post office off-base was that there were three windows, but never more than two clerks working them, regardless of how many dozens of customers were in line. If a third clerk showed up, one of the other two would close his window. And if it was "time", one of the two working might close his window, too. Absolutely no concern for the customer.

Exactly my experience. What also kills me is all the joking around and casual talking to customers when a line is going out the door.
