Desi Arnaz?
Also from the 1970’s was “Fantasy Island” starring Khan, a.k.a. Ricardo Montalban. And one can go back even further to the 1950’s to “I Love Lucy” and its crazy Cuban band leader.
Freddy Prinze wasn't consider the 'lead'. Jack Albertson was.
Despite the name of the series.
That's what I wondered.
I thought the same thing immediately.
I think the people who write these articles have memories that go back maybe six weeks, and the readers of these articles have memories that go back maybe four weeks.
And “ I Love Lucy”? This Lopez cat is dealing in sour grapes, and all this “just got whiter” tripe is just that, tripe. He must not watch a lot of TV I guess since he is so busy making his incredibly unfunny show. He should be thankful that his little show made it past the year mark......and yes I kinda hate myself for even the appearance of my defending ABC.
what about "Chico and the Man"???
HEY! You're forgetting about the original Latino American of Mexican descent heroes..... The Cisco Kid and his trusty sidekick Pancho. The only thing is, Cisco (Duncan Renaldo) and Pancho (Leo Carillo) were fervently patriotic Americans. Sadly, I can't say that about many latinos now. Too many are like Geraldo.......latino first and American second...or third....or maybe never.

Hell, what about The Cisco Kid?
It’s a shame that Freddie Prince killed himself. He was a very funny guy, and he would probably still be alive today if his mind wasn’t so screwed up.
