Clinton or Gingrich, Hobson’s choice.

I would welcome his entry into the race. He is such a lightning rod that the MSM could never resist spending way too much time trying to destroy him and every ounce of effort they devote to him is an ounce that won’t be available for the other candidates.

I would also welcome him on the basis of his intelligence and familiarity with today’s challenges.

I would hasten to add though that personally I am fond enough of him to wish for his sake that he would stay out of the race. I have always liked him and enjoyed his outlook on all things political.

He would certainly add to the excitement of the race!

He is more an intellectual resource than a necessary addition to parade of pols presently (or about to be) running for President. He should be assigned the role of National Problem Solver - Medicare, Social Security...then give him the authority to impose his solutions...ah, just dreaming. DO NOT RUN, NEWT.

Newt will make a great SecState, but if he runs for POTUS he will solidify the Liberals as no one else can.

The Republican nomination is far more in doubt now than it was two months ago, and Newt knows it. McCain is fading; Guiliani is fading; Romney is on the ascendancy. Newt could fit in anywhere.

"I think right now, it is a great possibility," Gingrich said.

And I think right now, it is a great possibility that, if Newt did get the nomination, the Dems would every state, Guam, DC, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Island, even if the Dems ran Micky Mouse.

I would have voted for the 90's era Gingrich but the new greener than green, Kerry loving, I can get government to do more for the environment than you can version just leaves me cold. Once you start selling out to the socialists you are off my list.

Goodbye Newt.
