Jerusalem, 14 May (AKI) - The Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi was taken to hospital on Sunday after suffering a stroke, according to a report on the Palestinian news agency Maan, quoted by Israeli news site Ynet. The condition of the 65-year old leader is reported to be serious and family members have been arriving at the hospital, the report said.
Who is next in line???
Must have had a B-1 flyover.
Another victim of Bush’s War. /s
exactly,
But if this nutjob goes, what takes his place?
Gaddafi??? He's Dethspicable....
I hear his favorite camel is by his side.
Another nut job of course, but we can deliver a message to him from President Bush directly to hit tent, just like we did this nut job.
Gaddafi Duck
I think it was President Ronald Reagan who airmailed that message.
I have little confidence President Bush would do likewise.
After all he’s allowed Syria and Iran to crap on us and kill our soldiers with impunity.
yes....Qadaffy Duck......
According to Wikipedia -
Gaddafi has eight children, seven of them sons. His eldest son, Muhammad Gaddafi, is by a wife now in disfavor, but runs the Libyan Olympic Committee and owns all the telecommunication companies in Libya. The next eldest Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, was born in 1972, is a painter, runs a charity which has been involved in negotiating freedom for hostages taken by Islamic militants, especially in the Philippines. In 2006, after sharply criticizing his father's regime, Saif Al Islam briefly left Libya, reportedly to take on a position in banking outside of the country. He returned to Libya soon after, launching an environment friendly initiative to teach children how they can help clean up parts of Libya. He has also been on the forefront of resolving the HIV case of a Palestinian doctor and Bulgarian nurses described previously.
The third eldest, Al-Saadi Gaddafi, is married to the daughter of a military commander. Al Saadi runs the Libyan Football Federation, plays for Italian Serie A team U.C. Sampdoria, made billions of dollars in the petrol industry and produces films.
The fourth eldest, Mutasim-Billah Gaddafi, was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Libyan army. He fled to Egypt after allegedly masterminding an Egyptian backed coup attempt against his father. Gaddafi forgave Mutasim-Billah and he returned to Libya where he now holds the post of national security adviser and heads his own unit within the army. Saif Al Islam and Mutasim-Billah are both seen as possible successors to their father.
The fifth eldest, Hannibal once worked for a public marine transportation company in Libya. He is most notable for being involved in a series of violent incidents throughout Europe, including charges against him for beating up his then pregnant girlfriend, Alin Skaf. (In September 2004, Hannibal was involved in a police chase in Paris.)
Gaddafi has 2 younger sons, Saif Al Arab and Khamis, a police officer in Libya.
Gaddafi suspended Libya's nuclear program thanks to the Bush Doctrine. Otherwise, we would be bombing them again.
Not only nuclear- also chemical and biological-
Claims he was helped and supported by IRAQ,IRAN, SYRIA!
How can that be ?- we flew close to 20,000 LBS. of
material out of Libya to Oak Ridge for disposal-Bush
even did a press conference from the site-
the MSM... yawns.
Libyan agency JANA lunatic troubles of health of Kadhafi
TRIPOLI - official agency Libyan JANA contradicted Monday of the rumours on the degradation of the health of the Libyan leader Mouammar Kadhafi.
The Libyan leader discussed Monday morning on the telephone with the chief the Italian government Romano Prodi and maintenance was the occasion for Mr. Prodi to turn in derision a lie of treacherous and hostile media on the health of the leader brother, according to JANA.
The Palestinian news service Maan (independent), quoting informed sources, had announced earlier than the Libyan leader, born in 1942, had been victim Sunday of a cerebral attack and than it had been transported to the hospital.
According to Maan, president Kadhafi was in a serious coma and its sons were destined for its bedside.
The Libyan leader had also Monday a telephone talk with his Tunisian counterpart Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, according to JANA.
The Libyan leader must receive Monday his Ghanaian counterpart John Agyekum Kufuor awaited in the afternoon in Tripoli, according to a Libyan official source.
After President Reagan with impediments from France bombed Lybia, Kadafy was freaked out.
Then he got caught with an advanced nuke program and President Bush along with a few NATO allies threateded to kick his backside and country back to the stone ages.
Remembering that crazy old guy Reagan and what he had done Kadafy freaked and turned states evidence.
Whether President Bush would have ordered an attack I have doubts.
Look at what Syria and Iran have been doing and nothing.
I see your point, but there are other factors involved. We could bomb Libya with relatively few repercussions. Iran, on the other hand, could block the Strait of Hormuz and choke off our energy supply, and we'd have $8 per gallon gasoline and a severe economic depression.
Thanks Hal.
