McCain: we need to secure the borders.

[Where has McCain been for the last decade? How long has he served in the Senate? Did he just wake up from a coma?]

McCain complains that spending is the problem in Washington.

[Wanna bet McCain got his share of pork? How many times did he feed at the trough?]

McCain: hasn’t changed his mind, he has adjusted to the realities of the day.

But the Iowa caucuses has nothing to do with his ‘adjustment to realities’.

Timmy played nicer with JohnnyMc this morning than he did during McCain’s February visit.

Hi ALL

GUILIANI IS DOING HIS FNC desperation move.

I just saw a teaser where he does the “personally opposed but can’t stop a woman from getting an abortion”

THE REASON THE CLIP IS INTERESTING is because he goes “it will never be my problem.” Ostensivly because he is not a woman. This is telling.

He is basically saying he goes by the “not my problem” philosophy of personal responsibility. Very insular, very self centered.

I also find it a very lawyer mentality state of mind to compartmentalize life issues this way. This attitude travels to other avenues which can have huge domestic and international consquences.

For it but against at this stage of the game speaks of desperation. (not that chris wallace will be very difficult)

I am not saying it works on the domestic front. There is would be a disaster just in their Judicial appointments alone.

Having seen McLame pathetic performance on MTM, I can breathe a sigh of relief.

He is done as a Presidential candidate. He not only seemed every year a 72 year old man, his unconvincing responses to Timmy’s hostile questions shows that his base - the MSM - has finally deserted him.

Of course, the Repubs are the stupid party, so they just *might* nominate a 72 year old supporter of illegal immigration, who’s flip-flopped more than John Kerry, and is an absolute joke on Iraq and foreign policy. I kept waiting for him to say there is “light at the end of the tunnel” or to start talking about “Iraqization”.

McCrazy should have a new campaign slogan, “We invade the world and let the world invade us”.

Honorable Awards for Sunday May 13, 2007

rush job this week so please forgive me.  I'm off for a desperately needed vacation on Wednesday so getting this done took precedence over getting "clever" or introspective with my comments and analysis.  Very strong thread this week, intellectually.  We've weathered a storm and, perhaps, come out stronger for it.  I hope that is the case, at least.

These are in alphabetical order.  The top 10 are next.

Top 10 for May 13th, 2007

And here be the "top 10" for this week.  It's not likely I'll be on the Sunday thread much next week and even less likely that I'll get my preview posted.  We're going to Hawaii!!!!!  I promise you, I'll think of you all, at least once.... ;^>

Have a good week.

10 - Txsleuth

9 - anita

8 - kabar

7 - txradioguy

6 - Morgan in Denver

5 - Bahbah

4 - Alas Babylon!

3rd place - altura - well, ummmmm, yeah.  Just read the posts.

2nd place - rodguy911 - try to get out of being the nominal master of the Jedi Council, will you?  Fat chance, sensei!

1st place - MNJohnnie - it's so nice when someone's posts speak for themselves and I don't feel that I have to be clever describing them.  Hands down for me, number 1 this week.
