Early voters in Farmers Branch strongly favored an ordinance that would make the city the first in the nation to prohibit landlords from renting apartments to most illegal immigrants, according to results released Saturday evening by Dallas County election officials. In early voting, 76.3 percent of voters approved Ordinance 2903, while 23.7 were against. None of the results from Saturday's voting at the city's 18 precincts had been released.

Sad part about this bottom feeding, race baiter known as Garcia is that he and his LULAC goons probably have some red diaper doper baby judge/laywer ready to slap an injunction on the ordinance banning the renting of apartments to ILLEGALS.
Keep the faith Farmers Branch... you're taking care of bidness with authority (70%+ from what I'm seeing in the latest poll returns).
The drive by media will bury the story and we will hear nothing about it by sunday morning.
Monday it will be gone.
An alien in the country who is an illegal is not “immigrating”.
They are here to steal GDP.
Some activist judge will end up throwing the ordinance out, bank on it.
I suspect this will happen Monday, possibly tomorrow.
They should have included a ban on the ACLU from filing law suits against the city.

Reason judge gave was some bs about Citigroup not notifying the defendant in Spanish that he had to show up to defend himself in court.
I'm sure Mr. Spanish speaker had no problem filling in the credit card application or whipping out the card to pay for stuff here in the U.S.A. I guess this thief thought Citigroup had a $15,000 "gift" bank account all set up just for him and that it wasn't expected that he had to pay the bill.

That's essentially what the Escondido, CA ordinance did. It operated under the theory that committing the federal offense of harboring an alien made you unfit to hold a business license. Farmers Branch is taking pretty much the same approach.
Escondido ran into trouble with one of Barbara Boxer's favorite judges, who put a hold on enforcement and scheduled it for hearing. The ACLU routinely files these things as civil rights actions, because the 'private attorney general' provision of the civil rights act allows them to collect attorneys fees if they win it. They then proceed to run up the bill as fast as they can, with an idea of bankrupting the city and forcing them to settle the action. Farmers Branch is unique in that they're familiar with that tactic, and have volunteered to spend whatever it takes to fight for the ordinance.
An interesting aside, Farmers Branch is currently defending a lawsuit over a city ordinance that makes it illegal to allow large numbers of empty flower pots to accumulate on your front porch. The plaintiff is claiming that restriction is racist.

The facinating thing is these are the same people who demand the federal government impose some regulation or control.
