The Gang of 14 basically controls the left and right in the Senate regarding judicial nominations.
However, that only works because of the 60 vote cloture rule. It won't work with a simple majority. IMO the center is only about 25-30 percent of the electorate. They are the swing vote in presidential elections, but they are not enough in their own right to win either a nomination or the general.

Rooty is pro abortion, pro queer agenda, and anti gun.
Those are all hot button issues that are a deal breaker for a vast majority of the population.
You can’t find 10% of the population on either side of the isle that agrees with him on all of those issues but there is way over 50% that would vote against him because of that combination or even one of them.
That doesn’t even count his other problems of illegal sanctuary cities and being an authoritarian jerk.
More that 50% of the Rats are against gun control and the queer agenda and its much higher on the Republican side.
Now that the greasy little weasel has come out and admitted what his core beliefs are the dummies that didn’t believe it before will stop supporting him.
He has no redeeming qualities that aren’t found in much better candidates at an even greater degree.

We ARE the center ,, it’s the party thats moved away from us on so many occasions .. abortion isn’t just a despicable act of brutality on another human being (no matter what life stage that human is at) it is the defining point of the republican party ,, we were the party of Lincoln ,, and although the civil war was really more about enlarging the role of the federal gov’t and maintaining punitive tariffs on goods imported by the south than in freeing the slaves that is one of our core principles , respect for all humans ,, whereas the dems fought to keep the black man as slave with crazy rules about the admission of new states and such.. we cannot ignore the abortion issue , it has resulted in 48 million deaths so far just in the US , far bigger than the slavery issue of the 1800’s ,,, it is a poison that enables socialism to creep with more ease as the women (and their “men”) who do abort put up defensive walls that last a lifetime where they fight to justify their actions and align themselves with the other related socialist party planks...
