Gutless Bush is doing nothing to defend the poor men tha he sent into battle. Not to mention the border guards.

I’m ashamed I ever voted for Bush.

The General officer corps has been politicized for some time.Patreus is a fine example of this. PC will get alot of men killed and that is the facts.

I’ve never heard a Savage show, but it sounds like he may be onto something.
That pathetic little mouse Betrayus has got to go.

It is why Cheney drives the MSM and the Left crazy. He is more hard line than Bush and would allow wider scope of maneuvers, tactics and strategy in the hands of our generals as to dealing with Sadr, Iran, and the Triangle.

“Where are our Pattons?”

People who think and want to fight like did Patton are driven out of the military after abbreviated careers. Kicking ass and earning respect has taken a back seat to “winning hearts” and trying to understand why our enemy hates us.

It’s more important to look good and think right than to be a hardened killer ready to take the fight to the enemy. A generation ago commanders knew their troops. Colonels taught their young offers to lead, and counseling was done over a few beers at the officers club.

Now, commanders manage troops and assets on Microsoft products, holding court in staff meeting after staff meeting while a herd of “yes men” shield them from the troops. Power-Point has become more important than bayonet point. “Leaders” make promotion and career termination decisions within their own units without ever even meeting the officers they’re rating. Filling the squares counts far more than being an expert in your career field.

We have a country that needs a military led by war-hardened life-takers, but we’ve been taken over by bean-counters and shoe clerks.

How many of them politicians would crap a gold brick if their daughter married a Marine Private or Pfc?

How many Generals would crap Tiffany cuff links if their daughter married a private?

“but it sounds like he may be onto something.”

I suppose there’s a 1st time for everything.

“That pathetic little mouse Betrayus has got to go.”

Ah yes yet one more armchair general is heard from.

Pathetic? Do you know anything about David Petraeus?
Inform yourself. And while your at it you might want to find out the who what where and how of fighting a counter-insurgency. I’ll give you a hint, it has very little to do with charging in guns ablazing and blowing everything up.

[Listening to Savage ...] There’s where you went wrong.

One should have no need to listen to Savage to be concerned. Meanwhile the borders are wide open. I respect Bibman's choice to fly his flag upside down. I would myself except I truly believe no one would understand why -- yet.

What is most amazing is that the Captain Stones of our military and our Border Patrol at home are still willing to serve at all. It takes true patriots to fight under corrupt and failing leadership while facing a bloodthirsty enemy in the field.

Political correctness is going to destroy this country, and it has even the most powerful politicians in our country running scared.

My rewrite:

The most powerful politicians in our country voted for this multicultural, political correctness, diversity nonsense which is intended to destroy this country, and it has a small percentage of patriotic voters running scared.

Agreed. It doesn’t matter if politicians are “afraid” or they are pushing to globalize our government and culture. The result is the same. It should be clear what is happening now.

You’ve got that right.

Senior level officers will believe ANYTHING presented to them on a Powerpoint slideshow.

You could bring up a slide stating that mutant space wombats have invaded Kansas...

...and they’d immediately recall all the troops and prepare for war.

Friggin’ idjits, all of ‘em.

Do you know anything about David Petraeus?

Not much, but obviously I know more than you do. Read here about how General Petraeus wants Marines to know that if they get killed by cheaters, well, at least "we — not our enemies, occupy the moral high ground."

And Petraeus also urges Marines to rat each other out if they see something that upsets them. "Hard as it might be, however, we must not let these emotions lead us — or our comrades in arms — to commit hasty, illegal actions," he said. "In the event that we witness or hear of such actions, we must not let our bonds prevent us from speaking up."

Yeah, your General Petraeus sounds like a real leader of men, a real stand-up guy.

My beloved son is a Sargent in the LA Army National Guard. During my son’s first tour in Iraq his unit went out looking for IEDS. He said that the people around those IEDS know very well that they are there and who is putting them there. He said, that everyone around an IED is an enemy. And they treat them that way. They have an interpreter with them to question the people in the immediate area which he says is invaluable. The interpreter can tell them who is lying and who is not. Consequently, they know who they should release and who they want to retain for further questioning.

Out of fear that the country that has called him to duty will make him a criminal for fighting for that country, I wont say anymore. But I have told my son that when he returns to Iraq, he should remember this, that it is better to be judged by 12, than to be carried by 6.

Fight to win. Fight to live. Come home.

God bless and protect all who fight for freedom.
