Anyone puting 1 and 1 together? Could this child contracting syphilis from a kiss from his adoptive same-sex parents? Lets see if we ever get any details in the future.

The liberals will bury this story; surprised they reported it at all.

No mention of the parents. I suspect you’re right.

Given the reputation of P-town, you won’t be risking your money betting on a gay connection.

Actually, given relative numbers of same-sex adoptive vs heterosexual parents, adoptive or biological, it’s statistically far more likely the child would have gotten it from a heterosexual parent.

No sexual contact??? I’m skeptical. I’d look for abuse by a much older person.

Your statistics don't apply to Provincetown -- and you know it!

There is a reason they now call Mass the Gay State.

I think you need to factor for P-Town demographics.

Except that the statistics likely show that the overwhelming preponderance of syphillis carriers are homosexuals.

And Provincetown is the queer capital of the Gay State, having, I believe, the highest per-capita population of homosexual men. Northampton is the Lesbian capital of the Gay State.

Only in Provincetown can you get syphilis from a dirty toilet seat... /sarcasm

Watch for more cases like this in the future among kids who have “two daddies.”

So then the chance that this did happen by some faggot abusing this kid, and the locals covering it up are pretty good?

Um, not in Provincetown, which makes San Francisco look normal. It's doubtful they have heterosexual parents in Provincetown.

Well, all wise cracks aside here, this is very serious. And I hope this is seriously investigated and if need be prosecuted. This disease is not spread by casual contact. Abuse should be suspected and investigated.

Bury it? Are you kidding.
The state Supreme Court would as likely
purport syphilis -— [HERALDING RAPE in preschoolers
except in Massachusetts where rape of preschoolers
is A-OK if 1) the preschooler slept with someone by fraud
or 2) was raped by force of a screwdriver
or 3) was raped by his his/her teacher who happened to be
discussing sex as a normal part of the school day]
—— is a ‘good desirable thing’ [as is standard
by South African or New York Times standards]

Rising Syphilis Rate Linked to Gay Men
Los Angeles Times ^ | May 9, 2006 | Jia-Rui Chong

Posted on 05/10/2006 12:14:13 PM PDT by DBeers

Syphilis rates in blacks, women and babies declined significantly between 1999 and 2004 but continued to rise overall, driven by a dramatic jump in infections among gay and bisexual men, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Monday.

About 64% of all the new syphilis cases in 2004 were in men who had engaged in homosexual activity, according to the CDC. That group made up 5% of the syphilis cases in 1999.
