Years ago, on the original Daily Show with Craig Kilborn, they did a color piece on a man who had given himself multiple root canals, then replaced his teeth with pebbles found on his driveway.
While there is a video circulating around the Internet about somebody *else* who did something like that, I really wish I could get that original segment.

Sounds like the dentists/denturists have a nice little racket going that they don’t want any competition in. Denture’s, for Pete’s sake! What’s the worst that can come out of unregulated dentures - sore gums?
