A federal judge approved an immunity deal Friday allowing former Justice Department aide Monica Goodling to testify before Congress about the firing of eight federal prosecutors.

Goodling, who served as the department's White House liaison, has refused to discuss the firings without a guarantee that she will not be prosecuted. Congress agreed to the deal, Justice Department investigators reluctantly agreed not to oppose it and U.S. District Judge Thomas Hogan gave it final approval Friday.

"Monica Goodling may not refuse to testify," Hogan began his brief order, which said that Goodling could not be prosecuted for anything other than perjury in connection with her testimony.

Lawmakers want to question Goodling as part of an inquiry into whether the Justice Department played politics with the hiring and firing of department officials. What began as an inquiry into whether U.S. attorneys were fired for political reasons has grown to include the role of the White House in the firings

Anarchy anyone? They serve at the pleasure of the President—what exactly is being investigated? Rats are capable of everything despicable and incapable of anything honorable.

I would give a donation to any charity named if someone in the Washington D.C. area would, during the hearings, show up in ‘Spanish Inquisition’ attire.

(I see red when I see ‘pink’ -Code Pink that is. Who lets them in?)

Hillary has already publicly stated:

“When I walk into the Oval Office in 2009, I’m afraid I’m going to lift up the rug and I’m going to see so much stuff under there. You know what it is about us always having to clean up after people?”

“This is not just going to be picking up socks off the floor. This is going to be cleaning up the government,” she added.

“Clean house” means firing the Bush appointees. Just as she and her husband did in their first term. This will be her third unconstitional term as co-president by the way.

There is nothing to investigate. The President has every right to fire these people. They knew that when they took the job. They should shut up and go look for new jobs with the ACLU, that seems to be who they think they were working for anyway.

Stage “the Crucible” out in the street in front of the court. Some street theater is called for.

The girls in The Crucible WERE playing at being witches in Salem. The controvesy comes when their testimony is taken to go on a “witchhunt” for other targets. The same with Communists. There WERE Communists operating in the US in service of Joe Stalin’s USSR. The question that lingers is “were innocents caught up in the Red Scare and unjustly prosecuted or blacklisted”.

This is a witchhunt too. It is the primary method of Democrats to take out political opponents. Newt, Frist, DeLay, Foley... The charges are false but the cases are played out in the media and drawn out in the courts.

Foley did not molest or solicit teenagers.
Frists’ charges have been dropped.
DeLay still has not had his case taken to court “in a timely manner”.

The Stalinist Democrats did the same thing to Michael Savage on MS-NBC, Rush Limbaugh on Monday Night Football and with the Oxycotin and now with the song parody, they did the same to Bill Bennett on gambling, Bill O’Reilly on a love affair, etc. etc. Don Imus is just some kindling to build a bigger fire and clear conservative hosts off the radio.

This is a witchhunt of political opponents. McCarthyism rang true in the end. There were Communists in our government, in our entertainment industry, and in our schools. And we saw an explosion of their efforts in the 1960s.

I hope she confesses to personally doing every illegal act she can think of. Not because I think she did anything illegal, but just because it would be funny, like when they gave Oliver North immunity and he later got off for lying to congress because of it.
