“I now tremble in fear as I await my fate.”
How many keyboards have been replaced so far from your ‘trembling’?
Try not to inhale your drink as you laugh it out through the nose, it hurts like the furies I am told.

The only words that come to mind quickly are “You can forget it”, but I doubt they’d recall what it was they were supposed to forget :)

If I am not mistaken a cease and desist order to be valid must be delivered by personal delivery or by registered or certified mail, and has to include the statute under which the order is being issued.
Some states and countries have laws that allow an individual to issue a cease-and-desist to stop harassment, stalking, or other behavior that is injurious in some legal way to the issuing party. The appropriate statute must be declared in the text of the order, and the order must be delivered by marshal or registered mail, return receipt requested. Evidence of the issuance should be stored with a third party, preferably the attorney or legal counsel whose advice has been sought about the issuance.

Oh, it’s real all right. A google of the lawyer guy’s email address that I replied to last night and received a reply back today with a plain text copy of the letter goes straight to his page on the DNC lawfirm’s web site.

LOL !
You've got THAT right !

Now one thing I noted on their original email message from yesterday was that they had instructed me in no uncertain terms that their message is intended only for the use of the intended addressee and may contain information that is privileged, confidential and exempt from disclosure. They even warned me that the IRS might get me if I used any information in their email as tax advice Gee .. The DNC seems a tad paranoid if they have to include a threat in all their emails

I don’t know how far they’ll push it, but I think my attorney would agree they’d be nuts to pursue it any further. They need to suck it up before they get any more egg on their collective faces.

Well, that answers that. I was only picking up on some doubts others had on this thread.
I post I just read, two or three above this, makes some interesting points about cease & desist orders; how they must be delivered, information they must contain, that sort of thing. Is it possible this was just an attempt at strong-arm tactics?

I am sure there is plenty of glee in moveon land, but these tactics should backfire with well-reasoned people. Stifling free speech is never a good idea because it can cut both ways. I am sure some of it may be testing of the waters for the fairness doctrine. HR3303 is in the background as well. This story would have been dead and in bed today most likely so resurrecting it plays no role other than to intimidate (which didn’t work) and fire up the minions which from DU’s standpoint didn’t do too much.

... she (Sebellius) said she was more scared driving I70 from Ohio to Kansas (because of the condition of the road) than she was on 9/11. Kansas missile silos are no longer a target so she doesn't care what might happen to the rest of us.
Just let her have her Ruby Slippers, she will stay in Topeka and demand tribute from anyone else left alive.

get off the computer
sorry but everyone here is attacking me for questioning the authenticity of this posted email.
I personally have been questioning it because there has been no personal statement from the individual it was allegedly directed to - Jim Robinson. What is wrong with questioning the legitimacy of this post?
As soon as someone directs me to Jim Robinson's response to this email (if its legitimate) then I will say thank you for the information. Instead of answering my simple question, I still get attacked.......go figure.
Who was it that said "Trust but verify"?

“Isn’t it though? It’s kept my attention all day. Sheesh! I’m glad I’m retired, or I’d be fired.”
Me too! Can’t wait to see what happens when Freepers keep talking about Dean and his call to the governor of Kansas. The DNC should know we wouldn’t say or repeat such things without knowing it is true. Gee, with phone records, witness and all!:)

This sounds like a great Freeper challenge. Guess the right words! "NUTS!"
