An artists rendering released by Shelbourne Development Ltd. of Dublin, shows a 2,000-foot twisting spire that would be the tallest building in North America if Spanish-born architect Santiago Calatrava's plan comes to fruition.

Would be cooler if it rotated like the new building in Dubai.

What ever happened to "functional" and "space efficient"?? That monstrosity looks like a colossal waste.

One more addition to the architecture tour.
This is to replace the getting washed in waste from the Dave Matthews Band tour bus on the architectural boat tour of Chicago no ?

An EPA violation eh ? I never followed the precise charge. I figured it would be “Crimes against Humanity”. I took that boat tour about a year before that. Golly was I glad it wasn’t me on the boat when that happened.

Absolute true story. I took that tour in the summer of 2004. There was a group of law students wearing "Hello My Name is..." stickers (or something similar) also on board.
During the tour, the name of Abraham Lincoln was mentioned by the guide. One student looked at the other and said "Who was the name of Lincoln's opponent?" The second said "I don't remember but the Republicans obviously lost." The second one then said "Hopefully, we'll have a repeat this year."
I waited for the laughter, a grin, even a smirk as a form of sarcasm. Nothing, they were serious.
