what rate? divorce per marriage or divorces per capita? Fewer marriages means fewer divorces per capita. No great win there.

Huh? What? I thought I had recently read an article about how marriage was falling apart and there were less married couples than ever before. What is this? We have always been at war with Eastasia?

Well, we’re gonna be 12 years in June and are still going strong. I’ve thought of changing the locks on the house but NEVER divorce. :o)

One reason, if you’re cynical enough, is because thanks to the government, there is no reason to get married anymore. Therefore, the people who get married must really want it to happen and want it to work.

Some experts say relationships are as unstable as ever -- and divorces are down primarily because more couples live together without marrying.

I guess that says it all.

Slow housing market is postponing some divorces.

U.S. divorce rate falls to lowest since 1970

Could this have anything to do with this: 'Life's Short. Get a Divorce.' -- Chicago Billboard Turns Heads

You can’t get divorced, if you don’t get married in the first place.

Could it be that if you don’t get married you don’t get divorced...?

"Overall, marriages will become more stable only if the lower two- thirds of the population starts behaving like the top third," Martin said.

"Lower two-thirds" Martin? Are we being a bit jerkish?

Because overall, I am a better person than 99% of everybody, and you all need to become more like me.

Bonehead. I'd love to peel into Martin's personal life and find out which segment *he* represents.
