He’s a libertarian -— lots of libertarians seem to be against the war. Not sure why.....

He’s, actually, both. He is a Libertarian (ran for President as [L] in 1988, got less than half-million votes), addressed Libertarian party national convention in 2004, but runs as an [R] in his district and is allowed to caucus with Republicans to vote on procedural issues.

Ron Paul runs in the Republican Primary. He has run in the past as a libertarian, but right now, he's an (R).

No the majority of the American people just want the war to go away.

Our presence in Iraq goes away and Al Qaeda doesn't.

Our gallant troops come home and so follows Al Qaeda on their heels.

Since we ousted Saddam and moved the front to the M.E. we have lived in terror free complacency.

A loss for us in Iraq as a country is a win for the dem's politically, albeit they are working for themselves and not for our country's best interests.

President Bush can’t stand alone and win.

He needs the support of us "non-politicals" who don't center our focus on political jargon and MSM promotion who have an agenda more important to them than the survival of our national sovereignty and the survival of any of us as individuals.

Scum is too good a label for the likes of these politically driven Bush bashers.

Never forget 9/11/2001.

The Dhimmicrats keep spinning the wheels.

They keep spinning our wheels as a whole.

That's what a mindset of agenda taking precedence over a mindset of conviction creates.

I’ve been watching a lot of this on C-Span. Murtha’s blathering was enough to make me want to put my foot through the TV.

But some of the RINO whining about funding pork projects made me almost as angry. Bush was right about one thing—if your spending has merit, SUBMIT IT AS IT’S OWN SEPERATE SPENDING BILL!!!

Just incredible isn't it! The traitors got defeated in Congress and the treasonous media is spinning words as if they won.

Exactly but the media will never show that the traitors are defeated, never but they will always portray the President and Republicans as weak and defeated even when the opposite is true and in most cases the opposite is true. The liberals are suffering from a syndrome called Arabism which is an extreme case of delusion where they see themselves all powerful and victorious all the time even when in reality they are crushed and defeated.

“Without question, we need to disarm Saddam
Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading
an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly
grievous threat because he is so consistently prone
to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating
America’s response to his continued deceit and his
consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction...
So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass
destruction is real.”
- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

“There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam
Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear
weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within
the next five years ... We also should remember we
have always underestimated the progress Saddam has
made in development of weapons of mass destruction.”
- Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002

“Iraq’s search for weapons of mass destruction
has proven impossible to deter and we should assume
that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power.”
- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

“We have known for many years that Saddam
Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass
destruction.”
- Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002

“The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in
October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam
Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and
biological weapons, and that he has since embarked
on a crash course to build up his chemical and
biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence
reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear
weapons...”
- Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002

“He has systematically violated, over the
course of the past 11 years, every significant UN
resolution that has demanded that he disarm and
destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any
nuclear capacity. This he has refused to do.”
- Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002

Sometimes I wonder who controls who. Is it the democrat party that controls the liberal media or is it the liberal media that controls the democrat party?!

Notice the spin, here?? “The Democratic-controlled House defeated”

You got that right. I had to read the line about three times to realize how the MSM spun the story to make it sound like the dems helped defeat the bill. Shameless.

Here is some defeatist, blame America BS from Ron Pauls campaign site:

“War and Foreign Policy
The war in Iraq was sold to us with false information. (Bush Lied) The area is more dangerous now than when we entered it. (We havent made progress) We destroyed a regime hated by our direct enemies, the jihadists, and created thousands of new recruits for them. (Terror is our fault) This war has cost more than 3,000 American lives, (Remember 9-11)thousands of seriously wounded, and hundreds of billions of dollars. We must have new “leadership” in the White House to ensure this never happens again.

Both Jefferson and Washington warned us about entangling ourselves in the affairs of other nations. Today, we have troops in 130 countries. We are spread so thin that we have too few troops defending America. (they are defending the USA’s interest abroad also) And now, there are new calls for a draft of our young men and women. (huh?)

We can continue to fund and fight no-win police actions around the globe, or we can refocus on securing America and bring the troops home.(Bug out like we did to the kurds in GW 1?) No war should ever be fought without a declaration of war voted upon by the Congress, as required by the Constitution. (blah blah blah)

Under no circumstances should the U.S. again go to war as the result of a resolution that comes from an unelected, foreign body, such as the United Nations. (We didnt go to war because of the UN)

Too often we give foreign aid and intervene on behalf of governments that are despised. Then, we become despised.
(He hate me) Too often we have supported those who turn on us, like the Kosovars who aid Islamic terrorists, or the Afghan jihads themselves, and their friend Osama bin Laden. We armed and trained them, and now we’re paying the price.
(Sept 11th was our fault)
At the same time, we must not isolate ourselves. (pick a position) The generosity of the American people has been felt around the globe. Many have thanked God for it, in many languages. (Then why are you running it down?) Let us have a strong America,(By accepting defeat?) conducting open trade, travel, communication, and diplomacy with other nations.”

This RINO will never get my vote.
