Warning: Extremely Vulgar Language. Shock Jocks Opie and Anthony engage in discussion about forced sex with the Secretary of State. A studio guest begins describing the scenario as the hosts laugh and encourage him. Anthony talks about the horror for Rice as the guest is "holding her down" and assaulting her.Don Imus was canned at MSNBC because he and his on-air staff called the Rutgers Women's Basketball team members "nappy headed hos" among other things. The Reverends Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson lead boycotts, met with NBC execs, and eventually had Imus fired for racially insensitive remarks.
I respect the free speech, however vile, of fellow Americans and don't believe Imus should have been let go. I wouldn't want to see Opie and Anthony fired as saying outrageous things is what shock jocks are paid to do. You want something a little lighter, listen to a church channel.

If they don’t get in trouble for WOW (Whip ‘em Out Wednesdays), they aren’t going to get in trouble for this. They have been doing this crap since they worked at WAAF in Mass and got fired for playing a prank on Mayor Menino. I need a rolls eyes smiley. These guys are idiots, but I have a choice on whether or not to listen (I don’t), and I would like to keep it that way.
I think we should be careful as a society on calling for bans, even on jerks like that guy McGhee. I think in the long run, this is exactly what the Libs want. They will fire a couple of their own for looks, and then start cracking down on anyone who doesn’t agree with them with a huge vengeance. I don’t want to get lulled into a false sense of fairness by them.
Because Xm is a paid service and is not broadcast out to the public like regular raido i.e. Imus’ show.
Actually one of them ,Anthony, is a republican. Also Hannity considers them friends and has appeared on their show numerous times. It will interesting to hear Hannity's take on this.

I honestly don’t know much about them, admittedly. I’m not interested in them. I’m really not much of a radio person in general. Also, I’m easily embarrassed and not interested in other women’s boobs, so the whole WOW thing made me uncomfortable. That’s just me, though.
My husband, however, thinks they are a riot, and we even have the CD they put out while they were at WAAF.
Explain to me if someone can, what artistic value this garbage has? What is its true purpose other than to insult and degrade humanity. Is that the kind of world we promote? I don’t worry about those who are able to think for themselves, it’s the naive and gullable who soak this stuff up like sponges and think its acceptable societal behavior because of the way jerks like these perceive and propagate it. I’ll bet their mommys are really proud of their little boys. I can’t imagine any decent company sponsoring this junk on the air. Maybe a good long look at them would be the place to start. I didn’t much care of Imus, but this is intolerable. Where’s the outrage?
Sharpton went after Imus's advertisers, who in turn caved. O&A are on XM with no advertisers, so basically listeners must pay to be offended.
Actually I listened to them for awhile, I have since changed my moral value system drastically as they say a lot of shocking, often vulgar things. Opie leans left but doesn’t vote, Anthony is a staunch conservative and the 3rd mic Jimmy Norton is also a staunch conservative, believe it or not.
