Well, Rudy just laid down the gauntlet. He thinks he can win the nomination without pro-lifers. Even though only thirty percent of his current support is strongly committed to voting for him.
This may be a toe in the water, admittedly a BIG toe, for Rudy to gauge his chances of running as an independent.
I think he knows that his chances of getting the Republician nomination are diminishing...and might fade to zero when Fred Thompson gets in!!
Running as an independent, he would boost Clinton's chances measureably.
Maybe he will end up Hillary’s running mate.
He has already told those who support the 2nd Amendment to bug off. That is all I need to vote elsewhere in the general election if primary GOP voters nominate that socialist.
I’ve said before that Rudy has only about a 10% chance of getting the party’s nomination.
That was based upon him repudiating his pro-abortion stance.
30% of the county and 60% of the Republicans are pro-life. 80% of primary voters are pro-life. Mathematically, he can’t get the nomination as a pro-abort.
If he indeed takes this stand (remember, this is the NY Times), he’ toast. 0% chance of nomination.
Something the pro-aborts don’t realize is that this issue is life and death to those of us in the pro-life group. There is no compromise on this and there will never be an end to this war until abortion is gone from this country like slavery.
I read a few days ago that 90 percent of women would procure an abortion if they knew that they had a child on the way with a deformity. Maybe that’s the clientele that Giuliani is wooing.
