Presidential hopeful John Edwards Wednesday strongly criticized conservative pundit Ann Coulter for remarks she made about Edwardss main rival for the Democratic nomination Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.)
Coulter told Fox News that a poll showing Obama beating the top Republican presidential contenders was fabricated and could help al Qaeda, according to the Associated Press.
Just when we thought Ann Coulter couldnt take the politics of personal destruction any lower, she proved us wrong, Edwards said. Her outrageous comments are inexcusable and should not be tolerated in the public dialogue.
Edwards had his own brush with Coulter earlier this year when she used a gay slur to describe the former North Carolina senator.
He argued that President Bushs war on terror has created a climate where people think it is OK to use the threat of terrorism as a guise for hateful political attacks.
Aww, poor guy has the vapors.
I’m always skeptical when someone describes in their own words, what someone else said. It’s almost always complete spin. Especially when the original exchange is not represented.
Is there a link to the actual coultier/fox exchange?
What does a four hundred dollar haircut feel like?
I wonder what Ann actually said.
Of course, it’s ok for his wife to make hateful remarks about their neighbor whom she has never met.

“Coulter told Fox News that a poll showing Obama beating the top Republican presidential contenders was fabricated and could help al Qaeda, according to the Associated Press”
The truth hurts, eh Edwards?
Give me a break, silk pony! DemocRATS invented the politics of personal destruction. Ann must have struck a nerve to have this wimp crying the way he is and she wasn't even talking about him. And last time I checked, the First Amendment gives Ann the right to say the most outrageous comments she wants, as long as she isn't threatening anyone's life.
Her outrageous comments are inexcusable and should not be tolerated in the public dialogue.
And when I’m in office, absolutely no person shall have freedom of speech in the public dialogue unless I say so.
Don’t we have a Coulter Rule on FreeRepublic?
Hitlery would also agree with you.
“And when Im in office, absolutely no person shall have freedom of speech in the public dialogue unless I say so.”
“And as long as I can’t have my Catholic-bashing bloggers then no one else can have any fun, either.”
Doesn't that go without saying? :0
Coulter told Fox News that a poll showing Obama beating the top Republican presidential contenders was fabricated and could help al Qaeda, according to the Associated Press. How can a poll help al-queda? I can understand that obama winning the 08 presidential race might help AQ, but a poll? If anything, a poll that helps Obama get the dem nomination only helps the GOP win in 08, which hurts AQ.
What a dud.
These damn people on the Left have no problem telling us what we should and should not say. How about we tell them to shut up.
I’m sure Ann is shakin’ in her shoes. LOL!
