For all Freepers out there who have rightly criticized the Clinton administration for committing U.S. military forces to Kosovo back in 1999 on behalf of Albanian Muslims in Kosovo, it's worth noting that the Clinton administration had plenty of support from many of the same "neo-conservatives" who have been such ardent cheerleaders for our nation-building nonsense in Iraq over the last five years. The letter I've posted here was published in the NY Times as an open letter to Bill Clinton from the neo-con "think tank" Project for a New American Century. There are some interesting names there, and maybe it's about time we questioned the agenda of anyone who advocates military campaigns halfway around the world in a so-called "war on terror" while at the same time supporting radical Muslims in Kosovo against a nominally Christian dictator.

A similar letter from PNAC calling for the overthrow of Milosevic was published in the NY Times in September of 1998. Noted signatories of that letter included such renowned empire-building globalists as Elliott Abrams, Richard Armitage, John Bolton, Robert Kagan and Paul Wolfowitz.

As far as I'm concerned, this so-called "War on Terror" is a lot of nonsense.

All the usual suspects. The Serbs are not paragons of virtue, but it was, is and will be a huge mistake to continue supporting the Muslims there. And look how the Albanians we protected are repaying us. We are setting up a dangerous jihad launching pad in eastern Europe. The Russians have good reason oppose this, because it is right on their doorstep. I hate to say it, but my country is wrong on this and the Russians are right. You are absolutely right in that Clinton had all kinds of support at the time for this, from many Republicans in Congress. When it all started, Bob Dole was Majority Leader.

Well said. It is also worth mentioning that Bush supported Clinton’s intervention at the time and has continue the Clinton policy there since he left office. He was obviously listening to the same neocon advisors who helped get us stuck in the Iraq quagmire.

Sorry, but I fail to see the analogy between Iraq and Kosovo. Kosovo was simple, all we had to do was ignore it. George Bush didn’t have a whole lot of simple or good options sitting around after Saddam Hussein poisoned the United States Senate office building with anthrax. That’s the kind of **** which you cannot let anybody get away with.

Again, I see your point. As I recall, Slobo was an admitted thug whose strong-arming tactics got our NATO allies panties in a wad. I personally was opposed to the Kosovo intervention because I could see that the facts were being twisted so as to justify the alleged "war". At that time, I along with a number of other Freepers also saw that once the decision was made, the KLA was delisted as a terrorist organization by Madeleine Albright's State Department. As per usual, the media did not care and we bombed the snot out of the civilian infrastructure of Serbia, our former World War II allies. I would be interested in knowing if any of these signatories to this letter you cite had any observations in this regard.

Additionally, at this point in time, there were very few that recognize the Islamist threat that culminated in 9/11. Lastly, to state there is no "war on terror" based on this is less than genuine. For one may not like the way it is being waged due to self-imposed constraints is a bona fide gripe, however, the war is being waged. Richard Miniter is an author I would commend to you in this regard....

Iraq and Kosovo go hand in hand under the same agenda for the New World Order.

The link between the Muh. in Afghanistan fighting the Russians are the same ones we used to invade Bosnia to Kosovo, lying about the ethnic cleansing. Al Qaeda members were taken from the Muh coming from Afghanistan...and were the cream of the crop and shall we say, highly trained to continue operations.

There is about one nickel’s difference between the Democrats and Republicans on a higher level when it comes to the NWO agenda. Milosevic, like Castro, Saddam, was a CIA asset. Milosevic may have departed from his recruitment in New York during the late 80’s while he was in New York. He was there as an understudy of allegedly being a banker. Upon his return to Serbia, he was to go into politics. Then, we stirred up Bosnia and exaggerated about Srebrenica.....et al....The war on Terror is designed to bring us into the New World Order.........Lets imagine for a moment...that the Ft Dix “operation” closely followed the Virginia Tech murders. One shooter, 32 dead....this entire scenario, both events, smells real real bad....
