I don’t know what they are, but I didn’t think sanctuary was observed in the US.

No basis in law for it.

If my LCMS congregation tries this - I’m outta there.

After I dish out a verbal lashing to my pastor and elders who decided on this course of action. I doubt we are going to go that way, though.

Someone needs to ask those “Christian churches” what they mean by “sanctuary”...

There is no Biblical standard for “sanctuary” in order to hide criminals from the law..

There is an Old Testament practice for the Hebrews...

If one Hebrew accidently killed another he could flee to a “city of refuge” and be safe from revenge by the dead man’s family...as long as he stayed in the city...

There is no other allowance for anything close to “sanctuary” in the Bible..

Those “Christian churches” are using something God ordained for the Jews to “protect” law-breaking, criminal illegal aliens..
