Yeah, that record’s a little shaky, but at least there’s no Planned Parenthood donations Romney has to dismiss.

Which the Rutard supports as “civil unions.”

Romney had good things to say about Duncan Hunter in his post Debate interview. He didn’t mention any of the others.

I saw another poster say "I endorsed Mitt before it was considered the cool thing to do."

I started supporting Romney last fall. I was initially skeptical of his conservative conversion. As my posts before October 06 show. The more I researched though the more I realized he is the one I want to win. His understanding of the pro-life issue actually mirrors my own conversion. I was raised Democrat and became Republican in college (then conspiracy theorist constitutionalist - but that's another story)

My favorite Mitt moment so far is his smackdown of the liberal media.

You Tube - Mitt Romney Calls Out Media Bias

Of course I also wrote this. "Am I the only one who think Republicans will gain seats?" 78 posted on 10/30/2006 1:55:53 PM PST by Rameumptom (Gen X= they killed 1 in 4 of us)

If Thompson doesn't get in to make a strong showing, Romney may be the only way to stop the leftwing mayor and the Maverick.

While Romney still has some question marks, he is moving in our direction strongly, he doesn't dis us like McStain, he clearly isn't the leftwinger that the mayor is. Romney does need to go further on pro-life and especially pro-Second policy.

I'm thinking if we don't unite behind a Thompson or a Romney (pick one) before too long, we'll end up with a McStain or the leftwing mayor. Probably the mayor because he's the only social radical and the rest of our candidates split the so-con vote.

Not sure we want to go there given we're having so much fun with the Breck Girl.

Unlike Edwards though, we've never caught Mitt tossing his curls in the breeze. Mitt leaves that to his wife (there is a commercial playing now in which they step out into the open the wind does in fact catch her hair nicely).

There is a big difference between a metrosexual type like Edwards and a serious well-groomed CEO like Romney.

Three more pro-life actions and policies while Mitt Romney was governor can be added to gpapa's list:
He vetoed legislation which would have redefined Massachusetts longstanding definition of the beginning of human life from fertilization to implantation

He supported parental notification laws and opposed efforts to weaken parental involvement

He fought to promote abstinence education in public school classrooms with a program offered by faith-based Boston group Healthy Futures to middle school students.

Eight prominent leaders of pro-life and pro-family groups in Massachusetts wrote an open letter praising Gov. Romney for his leadership and accomplishments in these important issues and attesting to his commitment to the pro-life and pro-family causes.

The evidence for this is in the money each is willing to spend. The famously frugal Mitt Romney spends $50, including the tip, for his haircut in contrast to $400 for the primping prince Edwards. :-)

Romney was interviewed by Michael Medved the next day here is a summary I found from..Elect Romney In 2008 - The Unofficial Blog! Comprehensive ...

"GMR spoke to the superficiality generated by a debate with 10 candidates in 90 minutes. He said he wished he could have had the opportunity to speak to the many critical issues facing our nation. He said he learned from some of the other candidates' answers and that he liked some of the answers of Duncan Hunter."

I haven't found the transcript of the show. I'm interested in the specifics of what he said if anyone else out there can find the transcript.

Mitt has homecourt advantage in New Hampshire and Michigan. I saw a ARG poll this morning where he is now in first.

Michigan (last month)
Romney - 24% (8)
McCain - 22% (35)
Giuliani - 19% (30)
F Thompson - 8% (-)
Gingrich - 7% (9)
T Thompson - 2% (1)
Huckabee - 2% (1)

YOU really get it. You repeatedly impress me with your logical and well-reasoned posts. You nailed it once again. :o)

Now to convince everyone else to be sane, reasonable and pragmatic....

I think you were right the first time — only because Fred Thompson doesn’t have the telegenic personality that Romney has.
