The abortion debate brought home He and his wife have always been pro-choice; recently, they were forced to make the Choice. By Dan Neil May 6, 2007
MY WIFE AND I just had an abortion. Two, actually. We walked into a doctor's office in downtown Los Angeles with four thriving fetuses two girls and two boys and walked out an hour later with just the girls, whom we will name, if we're lucky enough to keep them, Rosalind and Vivian. Rosalind is my mother's name.
We didn't want to. We didn't mean to. We didn't do anything wrong, which is to say, we did everything right. Four years ago, when Tina and I set out on this journey to have children, such a circumstance was unimaginable. And yet there I was, holding her hand, watching the ultrasound as a needle with potassium chloride found its mark, stopping the heart of one male fetus, then the other, hidden in my wife's suffering belly....

Typical response/report from a self-loathing liberal MAN. No word on how the woman REALLY feels about this.
There is so much wrong with this “man.”
Overreaching Pride.
Selfishness.
Misanthrope.
And that’s just from the excerpt. I don’t clicky clicky the LA LA Times.
This person is less than an animal. The children might cause medical difficulties, so let's pick two that we will execute. Never mind that playing God is not for humans. It's much easier to rationalize murder when you can claim some possible health risk or that humans are the highest level of consciousness.
And here I thought OJ committed the perfect murder.
Why do they keep saying they are trying to take their right to choose away? Women have lots of choice in birth control or to abstain.
“four thriving fetuses two girls and two boys...watching the ultrasound as a needle with potassium chloride found its mark, stopping the heart of one male fetus, then the other”
I don’t care what excuse this man has for doing this. To be able to write so disspassionately about plunging a needle into the hearts of his boys, he got to have something wrong with him.
And the girls - does he really think they won’t emotionally carry the mark, that it could have been them?
My mom had 3 misses before I was born, and I sometimes think about them, because if they had survived, I wouldn’t be here. But at least I know my mom didn’t kill them purposely. To know your brothers were destroyed by your parents in your place - there’s no way that can’t affect you.
“Im not a violent guy but in cases like this I dont think there should be any mercy in cases like this, I cant love enemies who do this kind of thing.”
The nation is at war, the U.S.Army is the place to act on emotions like that.
It’s all about them and what they think they deserve. They executed the boys because?
He and his wife will be invited to speak at naral and dem events.
A good physician would treat all involved in the pregnancy with respect and attempt to save all the lives.
A “dangerous” pregnancy can be closely monitored and precautions taken, or medicines given to aid the process.
If the pregnancy must be “ended” to save the mother, why not attempt to save the babies through emergency c-section or induction of labor - which are less stressful on the mother’s health than dismembering babies in the womb.
This woman most likely would have made it to the viable stage and could have been closely monitored until early delivery.
Beforehand, the fertility specialist asked us if we were OK with “reduction” also known as selective abortion in the event that too many took hold. We said yes, not really appreciating what that meant.
Ah I had that conversation also, but did appreciate what it meant. I walked out of the office, never to return. We have been blessed with two beautiful daughters through adoption.
Sick sick man, and wife.
It is.
“My mom had 3 misses before I was born, and I sometimes think about them, because if they had survived, I wouldnt be here. But at least I know my mom didnt kill them purposely. To know your brothers were destroyed by your parents in your place - theres no way that cant affect you.”
I’m sure someday you will meet up with your siblings.
I had one miscarriage and it always there, wondering “what if”?
“He and his wife will be invited to speak at naral and dem events.”
They will be invited onto The View and be fawned over for having to be “forced” into making such a difficult choice, and for being brave enough to speak the “truth” at the risk of being persecuted by demented baby lovers.
On the topic of abortion, I always think I’ve heard it all before and nothing else can shock me. And then I often find that I am mistaken.
GATTACCA, here we come.
“Ah I had that conversation also, but did appreciate what it meant. I walked out of the office, never to return. We have been blessed with two beautiful daughters through adoption”
God Bless you.
Many people believe their right to have children supersedes any consequences suffered by the embryos.
No, it is not a parody. Go read the entire article.
On a mother’s forum I go to, one poster was talking about her 2.5 year old being diagnosed with ADHD!! The 2 older brothers have it, or have been diagnosed with it, and are on ritalin (or something similar) and the ped. wants to get the youngest on it as soon as possible.
I would yank my kids out of that doctors office immediately if that happened to me. How can it be safe to medicate such a young babe that way?
O.M.G. I just felt a cold chill deep in my gut.
God help us!
