“Not a woman of substance”—Hillary has a lot of substance in her thighs and ankles, so I guess that’s what they must be referring to.

Yes, and the media was quick to jump on the brainwashing effort too, portraying the fems (and by extention most women) as victims. I recall one of the earliest news reports on the emerging feminism movement that I saw as a teen.
The questions asked of the fem made her seem a victim, struggling unfairly against insurmountable odds, no help and little hope in sight. On the heels of the civil rights movement, the theme dove-tailed perfectly.
The non-feminist women who were interviewed (interestingly a panel of them vs. the one feminist as I recall) were shown in nylons, high heels, sitting like ladies and were solidly givng a “standing by my man” message. They came off as old-fashioned, non-thinking submissives.
Of course they weren’t that, but I’m just pointing out how the media easily manipulated the agenda forward.
The ONE and only one thing that I think may have turned out positively from all the social turmoil of those days is the elevation of awareness of the problems of domestic violence and child abuse. That’s it.

Easy to answer this. If you are a white male, you have to pay more.
