Globalization has been in progress since before the 1500s. The French, the Spanish, the Dutch, the English and the good ‘ol USA have spread their influence all around the world in an attempt to create their very own NWO. They all failed. Those who attempt this now will do the same.
No, you’ve already lost and your statement proves it. Protectionism and isolationism is simply impossible in this day and age. If we don’t take our fight abroad, then our enemies will. Nature abhors a vaccuum. You remind me of a cartoon I saw, a bunch of guys are going out protesting globalization and of course they are using all the latest Japanese electronics and imported products.
The previous globalization efforts you cited are an attempt at subjugation and conquest. This globalization is the unavoidable confluence of historical, technological, and ecopnomic advancements and revolutions, not the policy of the US or any other nation/organization. World War II, Cold War, and the WoT is proof that America can not afford to shy away from the world stage and must take charge. “Fortress America” died when Japan came knocking.
