No, you’ve already lost and your statement proves it. Protectionism and isolationism is simply impossible in this day and age. If we don’t take our fight abroad, then our enemies will. Nature abhors a vaccuum. You remind me of a cartoon I saw, a bunch of guys are going out protesting globalization and of course they are using all the latest Japanese electronics and imported products.

The previous globalization efforts you cited are an attempt at subjugation and conquest. This globalization is the unavoidable confluence of historical, technological, and ecopnomic advancements and revolutions, not the policy of the US or any other nation/organization. World War II, Cold War, and the WoT is proof that America can not afford to shy away from the world stage and must take charge. “Fortress America” died when Japan came knocking.

Maybe is a confluence of transnational corporations and global central bankers who have corrupted the US government with cash and investments so that the politicians now force the American citizen to pay for the expansion of globalist policies around the world.

“The previous globalization efforts you cited are an attempt at subjugation and conquest.”

You don’t think those 2 things are happening now, to some extent? You need to go check out the sweat shops in some of these country We consider our good trading partners. Hell, there’s a slave-labor mentality in this country and an open border to prove it.

I agree with the WOT and FAIR-TRADE but, who are we kidding here? The WOT is more about protecting the interests of multi-national corporations not, the individual citizen. The terrorist chose the WTC because their beef was with big business not necessarily you or me. This wonderful globalism you’re so proud of has now focused their attention on all of us.
