That was in March 1983. The weather in California was so bad that a van carrying secret service agents swerved off the road near the Reagan ranch and one - or maybe two - SS agent was killed.

I'd sure like to know what "THE QUEEN" is carrying around in her pocketbook. I'm pretty sure she has Wednesday's entries for Belmont in there.

They rode together in Britain, however. Still, the rain at the Reagan ranch was certainly a shame.

Fred Barnes made roughly similar comments about the royal visit the other day ... but he’s not the sharpest tool in the box. Krauthammer is, so it’s more disappointing that he talked this way. Very inappropriate.

Harry Reid was invited, but declined.
Can he get any lower????? Yes
BTW .. he looks VERY childish in blowing off the Queen all because he's mad at the President

Last time the Queen was here, in 1991,I guess she missed a state dinner with ex42. He was too busy hosting Hollywood, I guess.

I just hope she didn't say to Philip...

I cant believe C-Span lost the audio feed for the Queens remarks. This is not the first time that C-Span has messed up an important part of a President Bush speech or ceremony. They will probably play these two hours over and over without the Queen's toast or GWB's toast to her. It is infuriating.

" and one - or maybe two - SS agent was killed."
Thanks for the additional info. How terrible that must have been.
