Rush predicted right at the get go they would ignore who first coined the term.
CBS really needs to make a public apology to Mr. Limbaugh.
And even better, they have linked Shanklin's parody page. I think they want viewers to look for other songs that might be offensive. Or they are giving some free advertising and kissing some major butt.
I went to the website looking for the YouTube video Rush mentioned somebody created using the audio of the song. I was hoping to find it and look at the creator’s favorites & friends. It tells a lot about the person who created it. Anyone have the YouTube video URL?

Doug, you rascal. Did anyone ever talk to the news director or the station manager? Both of those individuals are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the news that is reported on that station. And if someone did talk to them, I certainly hope they asked them if they routinely report stories like this two months after the fact. They broke so many rules of responsible journalism that I have lost count. Does anyone own any viacom stock that would allow more trouble to be brewed? The incompetence and idiocy of this newsroom would make an interesting topic for discussion at a shareholders meeting.
The news director probably relied on someone just like Rather relied on the scheming Bush-hater Mary Mapes.
They’ve also added part 3 and part 4 now....ba$tards! I hope Rush sues their a$$es off.
Yes, I know about searching YouTube but there are several versions and Rush mentioned a particular one on CBS website showing some very racist pics.

The news director should be supervising the producer (the Mary Mapes person). Do you know if anyone ever talked to a live person in a position of responsibility at that station? And I certainly hope someone sent all this BS to the Sacremento Bee, which is a liberal rag, but will enjoy rubbing a TV station’s face in the mud and so cover it nevertheless.
In Part 5, they finally admit that the term came from the Los Angeles Times. Gee, maybe that should have been in the initial story.
