It's funny how on an open forum you do not get to set the rules about what other people post.
Should we limit Jews from quoting the Torah? How about Catholics from quoting the 9 books in their Bible that protestants just consider apocryphal? How are you supposed to sensibly discuss Mormonism without discussing Mormon scripture? Should we likewise discuss Politics in this country whilst banning reference to the Consitution?
You didn't answer Eusebius' quote. He contends that the pre-mosiac prohpets knew Jesus personally. (Theophany). It has pertinance to your assertion about what it was that Christ specifically came to fulfill.
Main Entry: the·oph·a·ny - Etymology: Medieval Latin theophania, from Late Greek theophaneia, from Greek the- + -phaneia (as in epiphaneia appearance) -- more at EPIPHANY: a visible manifestation of a deity
It is a view shared by Paul who said Moses knew Christ.
1 Cor. 10: 4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
And a BoM quote from Pre New Testament times, Just to get your righteous indignation flowing ;-)
2 Nephi 25:26 And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.
>>>Lord bless you my friend. In polictics... we agree and lets just keep it that way.
I do apreciate this part of your post and thank you.
The Torah is part of the Bible (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy)... so yes quote from them. The Catholic bible has the book of Maccabees which Martin Luther removed with the KJV.
I don't accept them as biblical either... why would I accept the book of Mormon? Why would I accept a quote from someone I consider a false prophet.
it is my choice as it is yours to believe the book of Mormon.
Please let's end this here and say we agree polictically and leave it at that. Lord Bless, Gary
