I am Mormon. Not wanting to argue but just to clarify some misunderstandings. Yes, we believe that Satan was also a spitit child of God who rebelled against God and became the Father of Lies witht the goal of dragging everyone else down with him. As to being gods...we believe that God is our Literal Father and as such wants those who prove to be righteous (Moromn or not) to learn all that He knows and to share in all that He share. Again, I am not trying to start an argument but wanting to clear that all up. If you disagree then that is fine.
So sharing in what God has means that you will be a god?

Hey, Orson Scott Card is one of my favorite novelists, and I am constantly chagrined that God had to raise up and prosper an LDS to honor His Son Jesus in a hostile venue.
However, I cannot recognize the LDS organization as a valid Christian denomination, and part of the unbroken continuity of God’s work on earth. They themselves assert themselves to be something new, a fresh testament, appearing in 1843 after Jesus turned His back upon His bride and stomped out for 15, 16, or 17 centuries.
Satan was an ANGEL created by God not a brother to Jesus, Jesus is not a brother to Gabriel, or Michael, angels who are named in the bible. Satan an angel rebelled and was cast out of heaven and caused 1/3 of the angels to follow him. Jesus was not created, he is from the beginning with God eternal, He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, and all things were created by Him and through Him and for Him, read the bible folks. Mormons follow the bible but the book of mormon is where they get there doctrine from. You know Joe Smith was found some tablets and was given a special pair of spectacles to read the language on the tablets, he went west and with his book of mormon and their secret underwear, secret ceremonies, plans of re-populating other planets with celestial children, did I miss anything?
