We know that “carbon credits” are a joke. The real purpose of hyping them is to prepare us for taxes on carbon emissions.
Don’t expect the left (dems, media) to admit that they are a joke.

I was thinking about doing the same thing. Just doing something on Ebay to allow someone to pay for my landscaping and my solar panels to absolve themselves from their CO2 sins.
Also, did you see the Yosemite special on Discovery Channel. Its really incredible but they had to do the Global Warming schtick. Its almost a requirement to do any show about nature.

Exhaled air contains as much as 4% carbon dioxide. Don’t tell anyone this or we will have to stop breathing.
First step is to show that there is a "genuine" desire to do the "right" thing and purchase Carbon Offsets. The second step is to show that Carbon Offsets are meaningless unless they are issued and regulated by the Government. Third Step is the issuance of Carbon Credits to individuals and businesses, and require that the appropriate amount of Carbon Credits be exchanged for any Carbon fuel purchase.
Predicting the course of events will allow us to stop it before it goes too far.
