A top military advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei says no country has the ability to attack Iran.
"In case of any aggression against Iran, our enemies will face the iron fist of the forces of Islam," Brigadier General Naser Arasteh told reporters.
Arasteh said that peaceful coexistence was a basic policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, adding that his country's military doctrine had been drawn up based on defense, so Iran would pose no threat to any other country.
The Leader's military advisor also said the enemies, especially the US, knew that they did not have the ability to attack Iran.
He added Iran's army with an eight year experience of war and modern tactics was in an unprecedented state of power.
That would be the smell of incoming ballistic missiles.
Let me just say this:
"If they dare attack us, Allah will grill the bellies of the infidels in hell just like when they attacked Iraq and lost!"
I expect to see them do something to trigger events before then. If they can claim another influence over our elections...
Congress controls the funds and they’re the only ones who can declare war. We know where Pelosi and Reid are on this. The decision not to widen the war when America was behind it will go down in history as a watershed moment. The sad thing is that Iran has probably been funding the IEDs that have been shredding our troops by the tens of thousands. We might have been able to actually reduce the casualty rate in this war by laying waste to Iran then.
You’re right, I agree. My point, I think Iran will overplay their position & the Bush administration will go out with a bang. We didn’t have a DoW when we tried to take out Gadaffi.
We’ll see. I think Iran will watch our 2008 elections carefully.

“Iran is beyond reach”, said the Iranian. When was it moved off planet?

During the Iran-Iraq War, the Ayatollah Khomeini imported 500,000 small plastic keys from Taiwan. The trinkets were meant to be inspirational. After Iraq invaded in September 1980, it had quickly become clear that Iran's forces were no match for Saddam Hussein's professional, well-armed military. To compensate for their disadvantage, Khomeini sent Iranian children, some as young as twelve years old, to the front lines. There, they marched in formation across minefields toward the enemy, clearing a path with their bodies. Before every mission, one of the Taiwanese keys would be hung around each child's neck. It was supposed to open the gates to paradise for them.

Why are we cooking this self designed receipe of defeat?
I think it’s to prove to ourselves that we’re not like our enemies, maybe.
Or maybe I should ask, do we want to win this war?
Not by shock and awe, no.
The Texas state troopers.
A W88 screaming (technically, doing the speed of heat) in from space is a lot harder to hit - if you are not the US Space Command.
If, on the other hand, you *are* the Space Command, you can - and have - smacked down ICBMs.
Iran, it ain’t the US Space Command - not even *close*.
W-88
Soon, the Iranian leader will go on TV and say four words in Farsi:
“What the F#$% happened?”
Yup, froma D5 SLBM. It was ID’d by post 20....
Sorry hadn’t read that far, thought I’d show off but someone beat me to it as I later found out reading more posts.
There are more delivery systems than Trident launched for that nice tight weapon!
My point exactly - do you care to try for the points by listing the min and max yield of a W-88 Thermonuclear device?
