THIS WEEK (ABC): Former Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C.; Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo.

Coming up next on Reliable Sources — Chris Matthews as the moderator of a republican debate.
As long as US forces are in Iraq, the US congress should not take a recess, or even the weekend off.
Thanks! I’ll be darned, I didn’t know. I’ll take a lap around the computer, waving.
I really didn’t think I said anything that outstanding, just what came to mind. Besides, the best links come from people like AB, AV, rodguy, anita and others who stay tuned to what’s going on so well.
That’s because Ross expected...as with the Foley fiasco...that people wouldn’t bother to check the details and only jump on the fact Republicans and eeeeevil capitalist CEO’s were involved...even when they weren’t.
Remember with the Libs...it’s not the facts of the story that count...it’s the sensational appearences that mean more.
LOL. That is the best summary I have ever seen.
Which is exactly what I am talking about. You do not “handle” the media by slavishly crawling on bended knee to their shows and licking their hand while they relentlessly propagandize for your political opposition! You handle them by going where you can reach your own base and telling the Junk Media, “We don’t need you people at all.”
I just looked outside and I didn’t see any pigs flying, but
I am watching Reliable Sources and a reporter from the Baltimore Sun is very animatedly criticizing ABCs show with the DC Madam for their false reporting of one portion of their story.
Wow, I wonder if he is new in town? or if he reads the Sun on a regular basis?
Every time any DemonRAT starts telling me "this is what the American people want", I automatically assume they're LYING and the American people want the exact opposite.
I lost count of how many times Dodd claimed to speak for the American people.
That’s very well said - I agree 100%.
It takes guts and leadership.
Fred Thompson maybe?
I just finished watching Fred Thompsons speech from Friday night - at the Lincoln Club - Newport Beach.
INCREDIBLE
This is one of those very very rare individuals.
An American (in the purest sense) who is willing to enter politics.
No one I have seen compares to Fred Thompson - save one political hero - who has passed.
Fred Thompson is a rare breed.
So let me get this straight...some of our Congress critters get pissed at the Iraqi government taking a vacation...and they are the SAME fools who sent a pork laden...disasterous emergency spending bill to the President and THEN took off on vacation themselves?
Hypocrites...the lot of them!
And along the way you need to work very hard on name recognition and association. This is where Fred stands, literally, head and shoulders above the other candidates.
I’ve been very impressed with Fred’s “machine” so far. He clearly has thought this out very carefully. He understands how the ratio works.
Fred is smeart in how he’s doing this. He sees how the DBM is trying to shove the three weakest Republicans out there down our throats as the ONLY choice against the eventual winner...Her Thighness.
Sen. Thompson isn’t going to let the DBM have such a long running headstart on trying to smear his campaign and his voting record...which is smart...don’t give the enemy ANY advance warning of your movements...hit them when and where they least expect it.
LOL; Matthews as a moderator was really Matthews as hardball spewing out question after question after question.
Amy Holmes is one of the commentators, along with a liberal blogger. She makes a good point about the assessment in the press was all about: does he look Presidential, did he dress right, rather than discussing the substance of the remarks of the candidates.
I’m pretty disappointed so far, because they are not really going after Matthews, but instead they are going after Guiliani and the abortion issue.
I can believe Tenet on this one.
*****
I wonder what was going through President Bush’s mind when he learned what Tenet thought about their daily meetings?!
