I’m curious to know what everyone’s first Derby memory is.

The first horse race I ever watched was Sunday Silence beating Easy Goer in the 89 Derby.

Back from the track with a $20 EXB 7 12 for a forty dollar investment.

What the heck, it's fun to be part of the action.

It’s NoBizLikeShowBiz for me today. Fingers crossed, but then, I’ve placed no bet. No loss/no gain.

Not an experience, but the first race horse champ I remember hearing about was Secretariat.

I like the way Dominican finished in his last two races - came on very strong at the finish both times, which is a good indication. I don’t know if he’s outclassed in this field or not because I haven’t studied the horses that closely, but it was either go with the favorite or a long shot. I went with the long shot.

I'm going to root for Scat Daddy .. for absolutely no reason at all .. except I like the name and Prado's the jockey .. LOL.

Prayers for a safe race for ALL the horses. I still remember so well the brave and enduring Barbaro ... he was so special.

Can His Kid Brother Follow in Barbaro’s Huge Footsteps?

I do too. The jockeys say they also get teary-eyed when they hear the song. What a great looking bunch of horses.

I like Dominican too. I didn’t bet him, but, he’s got a shot. You’ll get a nice pay out if he comes in.
