Yes, indeed. If he could just get some time on tv, he would be “off to the races”, if I’m not repeating myself. Michael has been very hospitable to our man. He invited Duncan Hunter to come back on his show again. :o)
Do you have a link to back up what you say?
I’ll wait.
“That quote you referenced on the other thread, er on life. It is compiled into this video clip.”
Thanks.
Contracts are continuously traded at www.intrade.com
Try their “US Elections 08” category to see the various candidates’ prospects for nomination and/or victory.
Try checking out the straw polls where Hunter came in top three or won, even though he was outspent 20-1.
Good things are happening.
Whether it’s a good or bad thing, Duncan Hunter’s chances of nomination remain at a one-tenth of one percent.
Why are you exaggerating so much??
What are you afraid of?
MR. HARRIS: Gentlemen, let’s talk a bit about the future of your party. Congressman Hunter, Governor Schwarzenegger — who is here tonight — has won the state twice by downplaying partisanship and taking centrist positions on the environment, immigration, abortion. Is that the way to win for Republicans?
REP. HUNTER: You know, it’s a way to win, but we need to win the right way. And you know, about a hundred miles south of here is the — in my town of San Diego we built the border fence. When we built that fence, we had a border out of control, and we built that fence. And it’s a double fence, it’s not that little straggly fence you see on CNN with everybody getting over it.
We had massive murders on the border, massive illegal immigration, massive importation of drugs. I built that border fence. We brought down the smuggling of people and narcotics by more than 90 percent.
I think that there’s an implication in your immigration statement that the Hispanic community of California wants to have a secure border. And I wrote that law that extends the San Diego fence for 854 miles, across Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, that the president signed in October.
One way to bring down crime in the state of California and every state in the union is to have an enforceable border.
That means let’s build that border fence. When people want to come into this country, let’s ask them to knock on the front door.
To reiterate:
“REP. HUNTER: You know, it’s a way to win, but we need to win the right way.”
WTG, we have another Reagan Republican!
I’m not exaggerating.
The link I gave you supports Representative Hunter’s nomination chances as being one-tenth of one percent.
One link?
Hunter should be seriously considered for Veep. I like his message and his experience. He stood out last night in at least one way: Referring accurately to China as, in effect, an enemy. That contrasts nicely with Romney’s positive comments (elsewhere) about China, which are big-business naive.
LOL... You’re doing fine, son..:)
Duncan Hunter is the anti-Romney.
Duncan Hunter is our dark horse.
I like how his momentum is slowly, but surely, building...
Yipes! Must learn to proofread!
two dumb = too dumb
She was a guest on (O’Reilly, I think) a show and I saw and heard her say that, too.
That’s what I thought too. Romney was very articulate, but somehow he just sounded slick.
Hunter was great as usual. Too bad he wasn’t afforded the same time as the others. But he clearly made the best of the times he was allowed to speak. He is the most presidential and one you could be confident will not be intimidated by the opposition. You can’t really say that about the others.
Tancredo really has no place in the race and shouldn’t be given the support he does have. He is NOWHERE near being ready for President because he really does not come across sure of himself and is not a good speaker.
