What list is that? Im afraid Ive never come across it.See Post #2452. Names that the Mormon Church calls all other churches.
LDS students make "lists" all the time based on their scriptures and pronouncements from their leaders. Biblical students do the same.

“Your dodge is very cowardly.”
Let’s not get personal, DL. Not terribly Christlike.
To: DanielLongo
Nope they were NOT the only prophets of their dispensations if you read the timeline you will find that some of those prophets lived concurrently.

Amos 3: 7 7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. So your prophet knows when it's going to snow in Provo? (God doesn't let it snow w/out telling the LDS prophet?)

Firefox works fine with Vista. Using the combination now, no troubles.
FF 2.0 introduces the spell checker. Quite useful indeed.

("You step in crap once and spend the rest of your life scraping it off.")
To: Netizen; DanielLongo
Thats a contested verse. Eusebius cites that verse multiple times in works written between 300AD and 336AD, in his commentaries on the Psalms, Isaiah, Demonstratio Evangelica, and Theophany, as well as in his famous History of the Church. Each time he cites it in the following form: Go ye and make disciples of all the nations in My name, teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever I commanded you."Nice try. All you do expose the gullibilities of "higher criticism." So, you're telling me that since D&C 84:27 says essentially the same thing as Mt. 28:19, that D&C 84:27 is a "contested verse," too? (Why didn't your prophet, who has access to all corrections of Scripture in his "Inspired Version"...correct this in D&C?)
I think you'll get in a better gymnastics workout if you get in leotards.
To: Colofornian
Then it should read: In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. That would be correctly describing one individual with three titles. However, the modifiers that are used to preface the titles in the original Greek from which it was taken defines each title as a distinct entity. that is why it says "of the Father,
andof the Son,
andof the Holy Ghost.
the only obvious reading I drew from your post is that you have trouble with both math and English. It is three.
So, what is the name of the church you go to/participate with/find yourself sitting in on Sunday/Saturday/were baptized in/...the name?
To: Colofornian
“Wanna explain why Scripture doesn’t there say “names” (plural) but rather says “name?” (singular)”
Your interpretation of grammar in this case is incorrect; in this case, the word “name” is inconclusive of the plurality of the nouns that follow.
Ex:
“I poured some food into the bowl of my dog.”
“I poured some food into the bowl of my dog, my cat, and my goldfish.”
To use “bowls” in that instance indicates that the dog has more than one bowl. “Bowl” and “name” are the correct usage.
To: tantiboh
It is cowardly. You ask him the name of his church. What's so hard to answer? What church do you go to/belong to?
To: colorcountry
...and what is your point?
To: DelphiUser
Every dispensation has a prophet tat the head, Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Joseph SmithWrong.
Many of the OT prophets were contemporaries of each other--meaning multiple prophets lived in the same general region. There was no "head prophet" (show we where in the OT). I don't think you can even find such a concept in the BoM.

Matthew 3 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
So, Jesus is in the water with John, the Holy Ghost decends like a dove and lights upon him and Father speaks from heaven. Let's see...one...two...three...hmmmmmmmmmm.
To: colorcountry
To: Colofornian
I don’t contest that verse.
To: DanielLongo
name of churchI belong to the Church of the Faith Once Delivered to the Saints (Jude 3). Emphasis on the word "once" (no need for a second delivery!)
Otherwise known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Former-Day Saints! (a church which Jesus says the gates of hell would never prevail against, a prophecy in which JoeSmith accuses Jesus of being a liar). [JS even boasted he was the only man who ever kept a church together & that even Jesus Christ didn't do it]

Take a glass, put ice cubes into it, add water from the tap and let it sit for a month or two ... H2O exists in three states or manifestations, simultaneously in your glass and around it.

Firefox spellcheck is pretty good. Gives you a single dotted red underline for words it doesn't recognize, right-clicking the word pops up a menu where you can select the proper spelling, add your spelling to the dictionary or turn off the spellcheck.
Works on every website you visit.
I can't believe you guys flogged this thread to 2500 posts.

Then, maybe you can tell me who Paul went to to receive the laying on of hands to be ordained to the Apostleship.
...and what is the name of the church you go to?
