“If you are going to mock things that are sacred, that’s your choice, but they are biblical in nature and were given to ancient prophets as well as modern ones to do the Lord’s work. You have the references I posted earlier. Why don’t you go read them and educate yourself.”

Why do I need to educate myself when I have the Urim and Thurim in my hand to show me your sinful ways? As far as doing the Lord’s work, I think exposing frauds is quite an act of charity, don’t you? And since I’m a prophet, my words are inspired and never wrong, unless I have a revelation.

Did you get to watch that Spurs - Suns game? Wow, what a defensive effort by San Antonio.

Give me some time to check with God as to whether or not you are His prophet, like I did with Joseph Smith.

Rest assured, I’ll get back to you if the answer is yes.

It isn’t up to you whether I am a prophet or not. You don’t seem to care what I think of Joseph Smith as a prophet, yet you want me to respect the Mormon church which stands on the foundation of whether he was inspired or merely a grifter.

So, applying your logic, you must respect the religion of FastCoyote because I am a prophet/god of higher caliber than Joseph Smith (I am the new revelation of Mormon truth). Joseph Smith declared himself a prophet, why can’t I? Wait till you read the revelations I’ve found reading the sports page through the seer stone I found in a well (don’t make fun of me, I am easily hurt).

“If you have a Urim and Thummin in your hand, that would make you a seer and a prophet just like Moses. Now that you have them, tell me how they work and how you got them?”

Why, God gave them to me. Of course.

“It isn’t up to you whether I am a prophet or not.”

Of course it’s not up to me. That’s why the Lord helps us to discern truth.

“You don’t seem to care what I think of Joseph Smith as a prophet...”

This is true.

“...yet you want me to respect the Mormon church which stands on the foundation of whether he was inspired or merely a grifter.”

I couldn’t care less about your respect. I only request the same tolerance that I extend toward you.

“So, applying your logic...”

Nope, sorry, I’m afraid you missed the point.

But, you have shown repeatedly that you are intolerant of my view (as a prophet of the God FastCoyote) that Joseph Smith was a grifter. So, you neither respect me nor are you tolerant, yet you expect respect and tolerance.

This is the chaos that results when you become so invested in proving the holy status of a man about whom there are reams of evidence of fraud. You have to beg for tolerance to avoid being held to the truth, while at the same time you have to be intolerant of those who provide the evidence.

It is this battle between evidence and conviction that I propose makes Mitt undesireable as a presidential candidate.

I don’t care to prove that Smith was a prophet; the Lord does that quite well Himself, thank you, for those who care to honestly ask.

You can think about Joseph Smith what you want; I don’t care. But when anybody spreads falsehoods about my faith, I will refute them. Think and say whatever you want; but do not brand it as intolerance when I do the same.

At the same time, I don’t sit here in my PJ’s and try to disprove your faith. Your continuous attacks strike me as demonstrative of intolerance.

I’m done arguing with you on the topic.

Happy Mother’s Day. Mormons love to celebrate Mother’s Day and the Missionaries will call their mothers today. It is a big day. Yahoo!

“At the same time, I don’t sit here in my PJ’s and try to disprove your faith.”

I work all day and night in my Hugh Hefner autographed smoking jacket, attended to by my adoring bunny disciples. Let us not distort the true meaning of Fast Coyoteism.

“Your continuous attacks strike me as demonstrative of intolerance.”

And your attacks on my attacks bespeak an intolerance to my views as well. Intolerance of intolerance is by definition intolerance. That’s why those kinds of statements should crawl away from intelligent discussion like the cockroaches of thought they are, except being only three legged cockroaches they are doomed to wander forever in circles irritating everyone.

I’m am intolerant of anyone who believes 2 + 2 = 5. What about you?

I don’t care. If they won’t listen to me when I tell them it’s four, I move along. I have the truth that they refuse to accept, so I have the advantage.

Your approach appears to be to bludgeon them over the head until they get it. Of course, you neglect the fact that 2.4 rounds to two, and 4.8 rounds to five; so the person that says 2 + 2 = 5 may well simply have more information than you - he’s decided not to exclude the second significant digit.

Therefore, a much more productive approach is to try and -understand- why they think the way they do. If, once you have that understanding, you continue to disagree with them, you have a much better basis on which to do it.

I’m trained as an engineer, and now I do multi million dollar deals. If I am doing engineering and I make egregious errors, people could die. If I make such an error in a business transaction, bankruptcy can ensue and people could be forced to the brink of disaster with homes lost.

I find it odd that you would expect me to be less exacting in choosing a president (the current one has acted as executioner of many thousands and lost thousands in battle), or in choosing religious dogma that could risk the very souls of people, than I am in my material affairs.

If so, I have a sure fire design for a 747 that’s only off by 2 + 2 = 5 in the fatigue stress measurements.

Then I suppose you’d better go with 2.4 + 2.4 = 4.8.

The question of whether I would vote for a muslim is a strawman. Maybe I would if he was the republican nominee if the democrat was even worse than Hillary and the muslim was a conservative. Honestly it would bother me, but if the circumstances were right. Maybe If I believed he was the best candidate. Its really a nonsense question.
Catholics are farther away from “the truth” than the LDS church, but it won’t stop me from holding my nose and voting for Rudy if he gets the nod. Did you vote for McClintock? Aren’t you worried the pope is going to get a foothold in California?I don’t believe in the pope, but I felt McClintock was the best candidate for Governor and Lt. Governor and felt he was the republican candidate who happened to be Catholic. The same for Romney. I am not voting for him in the primary because I think he is a RINO at worst, and a johnny come latey to conservativism at best. However, he is not in some closed room meeting of the Mormons to take over the world. Pan_Yans Wife that is black helicopter politics.

As a programmer by trade, I see areas in calculations where the conundrum of 2 + 2 = 5 comes into play quite forcefully. Particularly in scientific calculations, one has to be quite sure that the computer comes up with 5 when the input variables are both 2.

Hence the following geek-joke:

“Mitt is my choice because of the kind of leader he is, not the kind of Church he prays in.”
I have to respect that. Think about this. If LDS republicans in Florida decided to stay home because Hatch didn’t win Al Gore would have become president. That is what a coalition is all about. I am sure you will vote for thompson,Hunter,Rudy, or Newt if they get the Nod. Stay home and let Hillary win. What nonsense.Finaly, The Muslim argument is just plain old fashion religous bigotry.
