When Ron Paul had the chance to VOTE TO REMOVE SADDAM, HE VOTED NO! If Paul had his way, Saddam would still be in power to rape and murder the innocent!"

So it is the job of American soldiers to shed blood and die for liberal globalist nation-building efforts wherever a dictator is raping and murdering? Or is your concern over foreign rape and murder only to be selectively applied to dictators in the Oil Patch?

Ron Paul's position on nation-building in the Mideast has been and remains exactly the same position held by Ronald Reagan, George Schultz, George H. W. Bush, James Baker III, Lawrence Eagleburger, Brent Scowcroft, and Henry Kissinger. Not to mention that the more defense-oriented Dims like Sam Nunn and Zell Miller and Lieberman can support it. Ditto for serious leaders in New Europe, a few like Germany and Britain in Old Europe and our neighbor Canada.

It is the neo-con nation-building in Iraq that has isolated us. It is killing our young soldiers for an Islamic state headed by former terrorists.

Bush and the neo-cons now stand completely isolated, the pathetic neo-cons pointing at Bush and saying his execution of their brilliant plan was flawed. So, it is quite ironic for you to try to insult us, who represent the views of the Republican party foreign policy consensus, as isolationists. It is the neo-con policy failure of the Bush administration which is truly isolationist because it has isolated us in domestic and foreign policy and isolated us with our traditional allies and isolated us as the new minority party in Congress. And it will hand the White House back to the Xlintons if pursued further.

What does it say when Soros, Moveon, Dummies and Kos Kids express the same opinions as you? It is impossible to take you seriously because you sound no different than them.

I’m not jewish, nor a liberal turned conservative, so the ‘neo con’ crap is meaningless to me, except it serves as a red flag in these forums when used as casually as you seem to be using it.

Second, what ‘insult’ are you talking about, in regards to my comments about Congressman Paul?

Third point. Its been my long held opinion we used Cold War strategies in dealing with Saddam and Son’s in the Gulf War. The notion of ‘containment’ to be exact. That was a serious error in judgement on the part of Bush the Elder in my view. If you are going to war with a dictator, you must remove him from his position, or don’t bother. Had we done so at the conclusion of the Gulf War, we wouldn’t be dealing with what we have today.

If you want to have a civil discussion about Ron Paul, I’m here. But if what you posted to me is your idea of ‘civil discourse’ about Ron Paul, don’t bother pinging me. I’ve had my fill of posters ranting about ‘evil neo cons’ as if its ‘real’.

After the 9/11 kook theory types, the ‘neo cons are all scum, and you are a neo con’ types are the most aggravating.

I prefer the term "pseudo-con" as the global policing at the expense of present and future taxpayes is not conservative.

same position? LOL, only to someone thoroughly ignorant of these men’s real views on the Mideast.

Not a single one of these other names would have supported the cut-n-run liberal Democrat plan for withdrawal that Ron Paul supported. None of them would have voted ‘no’ on a ‘support the troops’ resolution that the republicans voted for and Ron Paul joined democrats in opposing.

Just admit his position is the same as Pelosi and Harry Reid (which it is) and quit trying to bring in GHW Bush, who Ron Paul ran *against* as a third party candidate in 1988. Quit pretending Ron Paul is a Reagan Republican, when Reagan was an *interventionist* and Paul is an *isolationist*. Big difference and to pretend it is the same insults our intelligence and insults our knowledge of history.

Jeez, the contortions defending Ron Paul on Iraq are almost as bad as the attempt to make Guliani acceptable to prolifers. You can only put so much lipstick on the pig.
