I was a foreign exchange student living in Poland in 1996-97. Got to see first-hand the results of 45 years of Communism in a country. Needless to say, I won’t be supporting the Socialist candidate for President in 08...

A Soviet peasant called the KGB and claimed that he had seen his neighbor hiding contraband in his woodpile. The KGB came out and pulled the woodpile apart, finally splitting the wood, until they found nothing and left.

"Thanks for getting my wood split, next week I'll call in about your garden", said the neighbor.
