This is from the Washington Post blogs. I had trouble loading the pages, even turned off the yuck filter, but finally it came in. Here is one poster...

Another telling moment in the debate: Most of them agreed that the Congress was right to intervene in the Terri Schiavo case as, as one said, Congress should always protect life. Yet, most of them while campaigning, blame the democrats in Congress for trying to end the war in Iraq, that has cost tens of thousands of lives. A bit of a disconnect to say the least. And, how can you be against abortion and for the war? Oh, I believe in God and evolution. My favorite commandmant? Thou shall not kill.

This is from the same Washington Post blog section as above, except is a thread on the debates and Terri. There is plenty of commentary on Terri and her Legacy on this blog...

............................

Frontrunners on the Terri Schiavo Case

The three frontrunning candidates all said that they thought the Republican-controlled Congress had made a mistake in weighing in on whether Terri Schiavo should live or die.

Here's an excerpt from each of their responses:

Romney: "I think we should generally make the family make the decision...The decision of Congress to get involved was a mistake."

McCain: "This is a very difficult issue...In retrospect we should have taken some more time and looked at it more carefully...we probably acted too hastily."

Giuliani: "The better place to decide that...is in front of a court."

Lotta fundamentalists in that blog complaining about klutzes who don’t believe Darwin is God. They have their litanies and rituals. They just don’t hear themselves or look in a mirror.
