high probability that a toppling tree

With the rain we had for the last few days, the ground is really soggy. It doesn't take much to pull over a tree with these conditions.

Yep, toppling trees was a real possibility. A couple of weeks ago my granddaughters came in and asked, "Granddad, why is one of your hammock trees leaning over into the other one? Sure enough, a 14" pine had just keeled over. Now I have to find another spot to sling my hammock... :-(

As for this, You could see the radar intensity (in dbz) and the forward speed steadily diminsh as it reached the TX/LA border. The gust-line out in front of the storms was clearly visible on radar -- until just before it reached us. Then it started to break up -- and, frankly, if we hadn't been watching for it, we wouldn't have noticed anything remarkable about this particular line of storms.

Hope all our FReeper friends fared as well!

G'nite...
