People have eaten millions of chickens that were given feed tainted with recalled pet food, federal officials said Tuesday, though they said the threat to human health is minimal.
The announcement came after an investigation of chicken farms in Indiana found that 38 of the facilities had given contaminated feed to poultry raised for human consumption, and that 2.5 million to 3 million people ate them.
The officials added that they expect to discover that chickens on possibly hundreds of farms in other states were also given tainted feed.

Bing Bing Bing...Folks we have winner!
We shouldn't be importing food from anywhere, much less third world countries like China & Mexico.
Chickens eat dog food? Who’d a thunk?
The left bad mouthed our “engineered grain” all over the world , including starving countries, in order to promote the sale of crops from third world countries. The left promoted farm subsidies (pay to not grow) so that our grain would not flood the world market and depress the value of the third world crops. Now, we find ourselves importing grain, instead of exporting it. It is not the fault of CAFTA and NAFTA. It is the fault of the manipulated market. Our farmers could produce all the grain that the market could bear at a price that we could afford, and enough for ethanol, too.
Profits go right to their military.
SHHHHH!!Careful now, there are some here that will flame you to a crisp if speak out against their right to buy cheap cr*p and will go absolutely ballistic if you mention the name Walmart in the same sentence with China.

It just says DISTRIBUTED BY and gives a U.S. address.
Because you can wade across the Red River, but the Pacific Ocean is too deep. ;^)
Well, we do have a lot of Okies in Texas, but I'm more concerned about the illegals wading across the Rio Grande. ;^)
Uh huh....whatever you say.

The HFCS is produced by the process that makes animal feed. It is used because it is cheaper than sugar. The only things that HFCS can be used for are either as commercial sweetener, or grain alcohol production (hence the sudden interest in ethanol for cars).
The reason that sugar is more expensive than HFCS is that the US sugar industry cannot compete in the global market, so they hide behind a wall of unethical subsidies. There are probably a couple of tariffs in there too.
Regarding HFCS: I wonder if it’s wholly a function of our newly “sedentary” lifestyle that we as a culture are getting fatter? Things were going quite swimmingly up until HFCS became the sweetener of choice for the food companies. Then we all started getting fat.
It MUST be the lack of exercise (I walked 9 miles today, 6 yesterday, 7 1/2 the day before, etc., but am considered STAGE ONE OBESE [220lbs @ 68”]by the latest body profiling software).
I went into a rant, so I erased it and will post this as it stands. Thanks for reading it , if you do.
