Ségolène Royal, French socialist candidate :
"We have to create virtuous circles..."
"There is a new era of love and hope"
"Economy will grow when I will be chosen for President"
"There is so much to do for people to live of love and without poverty"
"If people learnt to discuss each other, there wouldn't be wars"
Actual quotes of Ségolène Royal, candidate of the French presidential race.
It’s amazingly naive and stupid.
But it is true. Watch the video, French conservatives mock her.
I’m sure that Bin Laden and his cronies will be pleased to learn about this new era of French love and understanding...
Well, sweetie, those dims will be in charge for the next 8-10 yrs, so grin for the camera...
Part of me wants to see her actually get elected so that we can later enjoy seeing her crash and burn in spectacular fashion.
Does she realize if the enemy was in power, she wouldn’t even been allowed to run for office. The ignorance of these people is far too dangerous. Has love and discussions solved the Sudan crisis yet the way it solved slavery and nazism?
“If people learnt to discuss each other, there wouldn’t be wars”
This is my favorite. It’s all so simple!
Maybe if she was German, “Schadenfreude”
Amazing. How does one say ‘kumbayah’ in french?
If she’s elected, which is not expected at all, she will be fought by the entire French system.
But I think the game is already over. With a six points lead after the first round, Sarkozy will win the 2nd.
What amazes me is how on earth people this STUPID ever get to the point of running for leader of their country! Ours included!
Because the left thinks that way.
They are chilren. Totally irresponsible. They are 1960’s dreamers who want to live without rules and without duties.
Look at the Time Magazine.
In the real world, you wouldn’t be allowed to write the things they do in their articles, because they are totally disconnected from reality.
But they do so. And people read them.
I will be able to give you the results before the French people actually learn them.
The French are not authorized to see polls before 8pm. It’s an old law, which should not be still used in the era of globalization, but as we all know, French people live in another world where the globalization should be feared and the world wide web seen with suspicion.
How does one say kumbayah in french?
Sorry, the french don’t do kumbayah with anyone, even themselves.
Genuine Space Cadet.......
Didn’t Chamberlain do that with Hitler, leading to great peace, prosperity, and comradely dancing in the streets of France?
Been a long time for me, but IIRC, it is "Ribbit-rib-rib-ribbit!"
:-)
One thing: The term “liberal”, which in the US is mostly equated with social liberalism (or even social democracy), has a different meaning in Europe (and the rest of the world for that matter).
“Liberal” in Europe usually means more or less the same thing as “libertarian” in the US, i.e. market-oriented and anti-statist (centrist maybe, but never left-wing). The derogatory term “neo-liberal” more or less means “capitalist pig” ;).
