Soros: Trouble with Russia
http://www.b92.net/eng/news/comments.php?nav_id=41012 ^

PRAGUE -- Russia’s position on Kosovo is more dangerous than that concerning the U.S. missile defense shield, George Soros says.

“The fact that Russia is trying to take over the Kosovo issue is more dangerous for Europe than Kremlin’s criticism and resistance to the U.S. plans to place components of its anti missile shield in the Czech Republic and Poland,” the American billionaire told the Czech Radio in Prague.

“If Russia really does veto [a UN Kosovo resolution], this will be a serious problem for Europe, causing divide within the EU as some countries favor Kosovo’s independence while others do not. Precisely this will demonstrate the length Russia will go to in order to create trouble in the world,” Soros was quoted as saying.

“Kosovo needs calming down and consolidating. That is what people in Kosovo are demanding and unless they are granted independence, they will declare it unilaterally. That would create a really huge problem,” Soros continued.

Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) vice president and cabinet minister Aleksandar Popović criticized the comments sharply, saying that Soros saw fit to engage in Serbian internal matters, advocating dismemberment of the state and snatching of 15 percent of Serbia’s territory.

“Serbia never called on Soros to deal with her state borders or the issues of her territorial integrity. Perhaps Soros wishes to assume the role of the United Nations Security Council, carving up borders as he sees fit and as fits his capital,” Popović said.

Agreed...the problem is, he is much more, far more insidious and destructive than Alec Baldwin...speaking of which, I saw this yesterday on FR and feel the need to lighten this up...

Celebrities have fame and a microphone. Guys like Soros have the brand of credibility that comes with a big honking tub of money and a couple of bucks to throw around by way of foundations. I wouldn’t listen to him on politics any more than I’d like that moron James Cramer (Mad Money) perform surgery on me.

every suicide bomb that props up the 'war premium' on oil, that helps to destabilize peaceful governments and free markets, puts free money into the treasury of the world's second largest exporter of oil.

Think about it.

Only credible with the idiots on the left. For those of us who deal in reality, he is as credible as Hillary! and the rest of the Communists in the democrat party.

Speaking of communism, Soros worked against it for one reason: to reap the financial rewards of its downfall by getting a foothold in corporate and governmental control in the Baltic states. His actions had NOTHING to do with love of freedom, hatred of tyranny,, or loyalty to the US, but had everything to do with financial gain... and financial gain is something he cares very little for if it is someone besides himself who stands to benefit. Typical of a communist... and a traitor.

He's no hero.

>>>>>Guys like Soros have the brand of credibility that comes with a big honking tub of money and a couple of bucks to throw around by way of foundations<<<<<

In this case, it is much worse. Beside being a front for undisclosed extremely affluent individuals (99 of them) Soros operates vast subversive disinformation network comparable to Commintern before WWII. The model of the network is very complex, like a 3D wire model. Visible hubs are Open Society Institute, International Crisis Group, Quantum Fund. The rest is mainly below the surface.

Soros network tapped into the meadia resources of the Eastern Europe. They manufacture the news to be used for consumption on the West. The fabricated news reports are relayed through several hands before reaching MSM, so if caught, there is always plausible deniability. Soros network also manufactures "journalists" willing to operate in such manner. They plant operatives who alow financial arm of the operation to plunder assets of attacked state.

As a nice touch, Soros organisation is behind Transparency International, they want to know who knows about their jobs.

The case of Soros operative Mabel Wisse Smit is the most telling what is it all about - drugs and gunrunning and moneylaundering.

Why this clownish Dr. No is taken seriously? Well, he is rich. Then, he does shady financial services for US Government (and individuals in Government on their own dime), and State Department subcontracts his didinformation network when it is too dirty to use official channels.

Soros' latest ranting in Prague is not his own. It isa symptom of serious malaise in State Department. Sane people talk smartly even when drunk, fools blabber even when sober. Soros is no fool. He is only a messanger.

The good thing is that he has no credibility.

I bett 100 Euros that HE IS KGB!

The Komitet had higher standards than that. But I have little doubt that some intelligence organization, more likely the Soviet GRU, used him as an agent of influence, believing that they had him under their control. The question is, were they the only foreign intelligence agency using him, then or now.

George Soros as a young man traded currencies on the black market during the Nazi occupation of Hungary. Soros lived there until 1946 when he left the country as it was under the Soviet occupation and he, without money and at age of 16, ended up in London, U.K. in 1947. According to claims Soros has made, he left his native Hungary because of the Soviet occupation.

Well, well, well .......

Simply said this must be explained to the American public because these facts are not possible to be true under any normal circumstances. Soros admits to trade currencies on black market but that was always punishable by death during the Nazi era in any occupied country. Also what is important is the allegation that the Soros family collaborated with the Hungarian Nazi regime during the WW2.

That would make the whole family [no doubt] a target of reprisals from the victims of the Nazi regime and the occupying Soviet forces would treat Soros's family very harshly [most of the high level Nazi collaborators were hanged]. The only way out of this would be an agreement to co-operate with the GRU Soviet [Russian] military intelligence or perhaps also with the NKVD [later KGB] espionage.

Young George was able to leave the country, he was able to make it through countless Red Army check points, without a passport that would be valid, without a Soviet approved permit to leave the country, without money and without any outside help.

Soros was not only able to "pass through" these check points but he was able to cross the border to Austria, where the Red Army was also present at the time, and Soros was able to get through the Red Army check points in Austria and "defect" to the West all the way to London, U.K. Un-parallel achievement and because of my personal experiences as a political refugee who had to go through some difficulties escaping the communist oppression, I know what I'm talking about.

I don't know how this Soros's "life story" sounds to anybody but this is impossible to happen unless George had a permit and proper Soviet approved passport because if he was so brave to try to run these check points he would've been shot dead on a spot by the communists.
George Soros was also the main financial contributor to the Polish Labor Union Solidarność *Solidarity*; which could have been a direct anti-Soviet effort or he could have as easily been digging for leadership information for the Chekisti. Lt Gen Sir Michael Rose, former commander of the British SAS and Commander UNPROFOR Bosnia from 1994 to 1995, believes that Soros is being directed by forces within the CIA. And Harken Energy, a firm partly owned by Soros, did business with George W. Bush in 1986 by buying his oil company, Spectrum 7, at a time when William Casey was still running the CIA prior to his 15, December 1986 stroke.

Well, I’m not commenting on Soros, but Benedict Arnold is one of the most misunderstood and maligned characters in history.

“Serbia never called on Soros to deal with her state borders or the issues of her territorial integrity. Perhaps Soros wishes to assume the role of the United Nations Security Council, carving up borders as he sees fit and as fits his capital,”

Soros has that typical white elitist liberal attitude. He thinks only he is qualified to be God.

I could not disagree with you more strongly. Benedict Arnold was not misunderstood at all. He was angry his talents were not being recognized and used (in his opinion). He was willing to sell the lives of the men under him, his post and his country, all for a sum of money and a commission in the British Army.

George Washington, a man renowned for his fairness, coolheadedness and grace under pressure, had indisputable proof of the treachery of Benedict Arnold and acted accordingly, hanging the person who was carrying the papers, and passing sentence on Arnold in absentia.

Arnold was transmitting information to the enemy which could have resulted a terrible military loss, loss of many mens lives and even possibly the loss of the war if the intelligence had been gained and acted on by the British.

Weird.

Why is Soros bringing up this issue now? He’s devious and long-sighted (probably the single most dangerous man alive for freedom) ... But why talk about Russian influence over Kosovo now?
