I concur, and I was amazed both yesterday and today to see so few “May Day” posts and so few comments on those few posts. Until we start seeing equal or greater numbers of US citizens protesting this ridiculousness it will never stop. We (ignorant leadership) has created a monster and this monster will extort its every desire. We have our own Palestines now and American leadership fiddles as these troubled waters consistently heat up for the succeeding boil.

I agree, however, as I heard one reporter state, when asked if there were any counter-protesters, she/he said that there were not, that LE frowns on it...I guess they realize if we were to show up, violence would certainly errupt. One reporter said that 2 anti-illegal protesters were standing on a corner, by themselves, holding up signs as the marchers passed by. When they were spotted, the marchers when nuts....it took 40 police surrounding just those 2 people, in order to prevent them from being harmed!! I do believe that it’s going to come to blows eventually. I am absolutely stunned, once again, that post 9/11, our government would even ALLOW any group of people to attempt to shut down major cities all across our country!! Says alot for understanding exactly which side of this issue our government is on! We must take a stand, but never forget this. I venture to guess that permission would NEVER be granted for tens of thousands of Minutemen & Patriots to take to the streets in the same way, in opposition to open borders and illegal immigration! And believe me, there is NO WAY, the illegals and their supporters would allow such an event to take place without taking action!!!

I also wanted to point out, once again, that the media spent all day, still reporting, “12 million illegals”...it’s such a lie.

A helicopter flew low over the east side of the park about 6:30 p.m. and sirens blasted as police ordered people out of the park, telling them they would be arrested if they didn't move out.

The police formed a riot line across the park on the east side, forcing the crowd to move west in a big mass. Some of the participants were yelling at police, "You can't do this."

Apparently some couldn't understand the order to vacate the park. But some were able to respond in surly English, apparently.

Your tag line “Tolerance is the virtue of believing in nothing” I think is inaccurate. Tolerance is having your beliefs and respecting of others to have their beliefs – as long as their beliefs do not impact your beliefs.

Almost like the definition of a Libertarian – (to paraphrase) your right to do anything is sacred to the point where it impacts on my right to do anything. E.g. your right to punch me in the nose stops at my nose.
